Staff / Principal Engineer, Facilities Construction – Gas & Chemical

Role Purpose
Lead design, construction, and commissioning for high-purity gas and chemical distribution systems supporting semiconductor manufacturing in designated Japan site.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee engineering design, installation, and qualification of bulk/specialty gas, chemical storage, blending, and distribution systems.
- Ensure full compliance with Japan High Pressure Gas Safety Law, Fire Service Act, and chemical handling regulations.
- Review construction drawings, material specs, safety interlocks, and commissioning plans.
- Coordinate closely with tool hook-up, process engineering, and EHS teams.
- Support contractor oversight and ensure best-in-class safety and quality.
Qualifications
- Bachelor degree or above or equivalent working experience
- 8+ years in gas/chemical systems engineering in Japan.
- Strong understanding of high-purity piping, VMB/VS, point-of-use delivery, hazardous materials laws.
- Japanese language required
Requirement: Work experience in Japan is mandatory.
