Because doing so can fuel the very innovation we are pursuing.\nKey Responsibilities\nDefine and own the end-to-end security test strategy across all products, covering development, qualification, and sustaining phases\nArchitect security validation frameworks for current and next generation SSD platforms\nLead root-cause analysis on critical security failures, customer escalations, and field escapes - drive systemic corrective actions\nDrive security test automation strategy, tooling roadmap, and regression infrastructure at scale\nPartner with firmware architects and system architects on secure design, threat modeling, and code reviews\nCommunicate security risks, coverage gaps, and mitigation plans to cross-functional teams and senior leadership\nMentor senior and junior engineers; provide technical leadership and set the standard for security validation excellence across the organization\nIntegrates AI-assisted tools and insights into daily work to improve efficiency, quality, or effectiveness, exercising sound judgment and complying with organizational standards and legal requirements.\nContributes to a culture of continuous improvement by identifying, testing, and sharing AI-enabled enhancements within one’s scope of work.\nRequirements\nB.S. or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent\nOver 5 years of experience in SSD firmware testing, firmware development, security validation, or related storage technologies.\nDeep understanding of SSD security architecture, PCIe/NVMe protocols, and storage industry trends.\nHands-on knowledge of TCG Opal, NVMe Security, SPDM, Secure Boot, cryptography, FIPS, hardware Root of Trust, and key management architectures is an advantage\nStrong background in embedded firmware systems, Python-based test automation, and validation framework development.\nProven track record leading security validation and qualification strategies across multiple SSD product generations.\nDemonstrated ability to influence architecture decisions and drive cross-functional initiatives\nIndustry recognition or contributions (publications, patents, standards participation) is a plus\nAbility to apply baseline digital fluency and role-appropriate AI literacy to use AI-enabled tools responsibly and effectively for research, analysis, content creation, problem-solving, operational tasks, and achieving business outcomes\nAbout Micron Technology, Inc.\nWe are an industry leader in innovative memory and storage solutions transforming how the world uses information to enrich lifefor all.
