This role focuses on tester hardware architecture and platform-level electrical design, integrating host compute, PCIe interfaces, high-speed interconnects, DUT interface hardware, power delivery, sideband control, firmware/software interfaces, and manufacturing needs into a complete test system.\nResponsibilities\nDefinetester system architecture, requirements, performance models, interfaces, and specifications.\n\nOwn platform architecture across hostcompute, PCIe topology, high-speed interconnects, DUT interface hardware, power delivery, and rack/module integration.\n\nPartner with customers and internal teams to shape tester strategy, requirements, and roadmaps.\n\nDrive hardware designs from concept through delivery supportingcomponentselection, schematic entry/review, high-speed implementation, lab bring-up, system integration, and verification\n\nCollaborate across electrical, mechanical, software, and manufacturing teams to deliver scalable, secure tester systems with quality, performance, reliability, and manufacturability.\n\nModernize existing systems to improve performance, efficiency, reliability, and maintainability.\n\nMentor engineers and represent the team in partner and stakeholder technical discussions.\n\nMinimum Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.with 7+ years of experience in electrical engineering or system-level hardware design.\n\nExperience with computer architecture, system interfaces, digital/analog hardware, power delivery, and system-level integration.\n\nHands-on experience with PCB schematic design/review, BOM development,componentselection, board-level tradeoffs, and high-speed hardware considerations including SI/PI, thermal constraints, cost, and manufacturability.\n\nFamiliarity with lab debug equipment such as oscilloscopes, power supplies, and protocol analyzers.\n\nStrong multi-functional interpersonal skills.\n\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience with PCIe,NVMe, Ethernet, or other high-speed interfaces.\n\nExperience designing computer systems or hardware platforms such as motherboards, SSD validation test benches, or related system-level hardware.\n\nFamiliarity with SSD validation, qualification, or production/manufacturing test workflows.\n\nExperience leading technical work or guiding engineering decisions.\n\nExperience using Linux-based systems.\n\nUnderstanding ofindustry standards such as JEDEC or PCI-SIG.\n\nThe US base salary range that Micron Technology estimates it could pay for this full-time position is:\n$202,000.00 - $344,000.00 a yearAdditional compensation may include benefits, bonuses and equity.\nOur salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.
