Role Summary

As a Contract Recruiter at Micron, you will act as a reliable talent consultant and collaborative partner to hiring managers and business leaders. You will lead end-to-end recruiting efforts for a range of technical and non-technical roles while providing an outstanding candidate and hiring manager experience.

This role requires strong consultative recruiting expertise, business insight, market intelligence, and the ability to influence collaborators throughout the hiring lifecycle. The successful candidate will be skilled in sourcing, candidate assessment, talent attraction strategies, offer negotiation, and project-based recruiting initiatives that support Micron's continued growth.

Key Responsibilities

Consult and Counsel Recruiting Stakeholders

  • Act as a reliable consultant to hiring managers and business leaders regarding talent acquisition approaches, workforce planning, and market trends.
  • Provide guidance on recruiting guidelines, candidate availability, compensation trends, and competitive talent landscapes.
  • Influence hiring decisions through data-driven recommendations and talent insights.
  • Build strong relationships across multiple collaborator groups to ensure alignment on hiring objectives.

Work together to Identify Talent Requirements with Hiring Managers

  • Collaborate with hiring managers to grasp organizational priorities, workforce needs, and position requirements.
  • Develop recruiting strategies tailored to business objectives and hiring demands.
  • Facilitate intake meetings to define candidate profiles, critical skills, and hiring timelines.
  • Continuously align recruiting activities with evolving business needs.

Sourcing

  • Develop and complete effective sourcing strategies to identify and engage high-quality talent.
  • Apply multiple sourcing channels including LinkedIn Recruiter, professional networks, referrals, employee networks, talent communities, and industry events.
  • Build proactive pipelines for current and future hiring needs.
  • Maintain strong candidate engagement and relationship oversight throughout the recruiting lifecycle.

Candidate Assessment

  • Screen and evaluate candidate qualifications, capabilities, and alignment with Micron's values and organizational needs.
  • Conduct behavioral and competency-based interviews.
  • Assess technical and functional expertise using structured evaluation methods.
  • Present qualified candidates and provide detailed recommendations to hiring teams.

Management of the Recruiting Process

  • Manage full-cycle recruitment from requisition intake through offer acceptance and onboarding coordination.
  • Ensure timely communication with candidates, hiring managers, interview teams, and business partners.
  • Drive interview scheduling, interview feedback collection, and candidate progression activities.
  • Maintain accurate applicant tracking system records and ensure compliance with company policies and employment regulations.
  • Monitor recruiting metrics and provide regular updates on hiring progress and pipeline health.

Talent and Offer Negotiation

  • Partner with hiring teams and compensation collaborators to develop competitive offers.
  • Lead candidate offer discussions and negotiations while balancing candidate expectations and business requirements.
  • Effectively address candidate concerns and facilitate successful offer acceptance.
  • Support offer closing strategies for critical and highly competitive talent segments.

Lead or Participate in Recruiting Projects

  • Support strategic recruiting initiatives and process improvement efforts.
  • Engage in projects centered on operational excellence, candidate experience, diversity recruiting, employer branding, workforce planning, and improvements to recruiting technology.
  • Find opportunities to improve recruiting efficiency, effectiveness, and scalability.
  • Contribute to the implementation of guidelines across the talent acquisition organization.

Market Intelligence

  • Maintain knowledge of labor market conditions, competitor hiring activities, and emerging talent trends.
  • Leverage market data to influence sourcing strategies and hiring recommendations.
  • Provide insights regarding talent availability, skill demand, compensation benchmarks, and location strategies.
  • Share competitive intelligence with business leaders and recruiting collaborators.

Business Insight

  • Develop a strong understanding of Micron's business, products, technologies, organizational structure, and strategic priorities.
  • Align recruiting strategies with business goals and workforce planning objectives.
  • Understand functional workforce requirements across engineering, manufacturing, operations, corporate, and support organizations.
  • Use business knowledge to effectively prioritize requisitions and deliver talent solutions that support organizational success.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • 5+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience in corporate, agency, RPO, or contract recruiting environments.
  • Experience collaborating directly with hiring managers and business leaders.
  • Experience sourcing and recruiting for professional, technical, engineering, or operations roles.
  • Strong skills in interviewing, evaluating candidates, and managing relationships.
  • Experience applying applicant tracking systems and sourcing tools.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple requisitions and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience recruiting for semiconductor, technology, engineering, manufacturing, or advanced technology organizations.
  • Experience supporting high-volume and specialized technical hiring.
  • Understanding of talent market dynamics, workforce planning, and recruiting analytics.
  • Experience working within a global organization.
  • Proven ability to influence senior collaborators and achieve strategic hiring results.
  • Experience with Workday, LinkedIn Recruiter, and modern recruiting technologies.

The US base salary range that Micron Technology estimates it could pay for this full-time position is:

$107,000.00 - $183,000.00 a year

Additional compensation may include benefits, bonuses and equity.

Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target base pay for new hire salaries of the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional job-related factors, including knowledge, skills, experience, tenure and relevant education or training.
