We are a world leader in innovating memory and storage solutions that accelerate the transformation of information into intelligence, inspiring the world to learn, communicate, and advance faster than ever.\nPosition Overview\nMicron is seeking an experienced and collaborative Test Engineering Manager to lead a team of engineers responsible for Component Test manufacturing processes, equipment readiness, yield improvement, quality performance, and new product introduction (NPI) activities.\nIn this role, you will drive operational excellence across semiconductor test manufacturing while developing technical talent and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. You will work closely with Product Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Operations, Facilities, Industrial Engineering, Equipment Engineering, and global site teams to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality manufacturing operations.\nThe successful candidate combines strong technical expertise, analytical problem-solving skills, people leadership capabilities, and a passion for delivering exceptional business results.\nKey Responsibilities\nLeadership and Team Development\nLead, coach, and develop a team of Test Engineers and technical professionals.\nCreate an inclusive work environment that values diverse perspectives and collaboration.\nEstablish clear goals, priorities, and development plans aligned with organizational objectives.\nDrive employee engagement, growth, accountability, and succession planning.\nSupport recruitment, onboarding, mentoring, and retention efforts.\nTest Manufacturing Operations\nOwn daily engineering support for Component Test manufacturing operations.\nDrive rapid issue resolution for process, equipment, yield, and quality excursions.\nEstablish robust process controls and manufacturing standards.\nEnsure process capability and operational stability across manufacturing lines.\nPartner with production teams to maximize equipment utilization, throughput, and operational efficiency.\nYield, Quality, and Reliability\nLead data-driven yield improvement initiatives.\nDrive root cause investigations using structured problem-solving methodologies.\nImplement corrective and preventive actions to eliminate recurring issues.\nPartner with Quality and Product Engineering teams to improve outgoing product quality.\nSupport customer issue investigations and manufacturing risk assessments.\nNew Product Introduction (NPI)\nLead engineering readiness activities for new products and technology nodes.\nExecute process qualifications and manufacturing validations.\nAssess manufacturing risks and develop mitigation plans.\nEnsure smooth transition from development to high-volume production.\nCollaborate with global engineering teams to deploy best practices.\nProcess and Equipment Engineering\nDrive process optimization and continuous improvement initiatives.\nSupport equipment qualifications, upgrades, and technology transfers.\nPartner with Equipment Engineering teams to improve performance and capability.\nEstablish standardized operating procedures and engineering specifications.\nLead equipment and process validations using statistical methodologies and risk-based approaches.\nData Analytics and Digital Manufacturing\nUtilize data analytics to identify trends, opportunities, and performance gaps.\nDevelop KPI dashboards and performance metrics.\nDrive automation and digital transformation initiatives.\nLeverage advanced analytics and AI-enabled tools where appropriate to improve decision-making and operational effectiveness.\nSafety and Compliance\nPromote a strong safety-first culture.\nEnsure compliance with Micron policies, environmental health and safety standards, and quality management systems.\nSupport audit readiness and regulatory compliance activities.\nDrive continuous improvement in workplace safety and operational discipline.\nMinimum Qualifications\nBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical discipline.\n8+ years of experience in semiconductor manufacturing, test engineering, process engineering, product engineering, or related technical roles.\n2+ years of experience leading engineering projects, technical teams, or people management responsibilities.\nStrong understanding of semiconductor assembly and test manufacturing processes.\nExperience with statistical analysis, process control, and problem-solving methodologies.\nDemonstrated ability to analyze complex technical problems and implement sustainable solutions.\nStrong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.\nPreferred Qualifications\nMaster's degree in Engineering or related technical field.\nExperience in memory, storage, DRAM, NAND, SSD, or semiconductor backend manufacturing environments.\nKnowledge of Component Test, Final Test, Burn-In, System-Level Test, or Automated Test Equipment (ATE) operations.\nExperience with JMP, Minitab, Python, Power BI, SQL, Tableau, or similar analytical tools.\nLean Six Sigma Green Belt, Black Belt, or equivalent continuous improvement certification.\nExperience leading global cross-functional projects and technology transfers.\nKnowledge of AI-assisted analytics, manufacturing automation, and digital factory initiatives.\nKey
