This role drives process capability, yield improvement, product quality, manufacturing readiness, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement initiatives across Component Test operations.\nThe successful candidate will lead a team of engineers focused on process qualification, process control, defect reduction, equipment-process interactions, manufacturing validation, data analytics, and technology deployment. This role collaborates extensively with Product Engineering, Quality Engineering, Manufacturing Operations, Equipment Engineering, Supplier Quality, Industrial Engineering, and global site teams.\nThis position requires a combination of technical expertise, strategic thinking, people leadership, and data-driven decision-making.\nKey Responsibilities\nPeople Leadership and Team Development\nLead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of Test Process Engineers.\nFoster an inclusive, collaborative, and accountable work environment.\nEstablish individual and team objectives aligned with business priorities.\nSupport recruiting, onboarding, talent development, and succession planning activities.\nDrive employee engagement and continuous learning initiatives.\nTest Process Engineering\nOwn process engineering strategy and execution for Component Test manufacturing operations.\nLead process development, process qualification, and process optimization activities.\nEstablish and maintain robust process controls and engineering standards.\nMonitor and improve process capability through statistical analysis and continuous improvement methodologies.\nEnsure process consistency and standardized execution across manufacturing operations.\nYield Improvement and Quality Excellence\nLead yield improvement initiatives utilizing structured root cause analysis methodologies.\nDrive rapid response and containment activities for quality and reliability excursions.\nImplement corrective and preventive actions to eliminate recurring issues.\nPartner with Product Engineering and Quality teams to improve manufacturing performance and outgoing quality.\nUtilize statistical methods and advanced analytics to reduce variation and improve process stability.\nNew Product Introduction (NPI)\nLead manufacturing process readiness activities for new products and technology transitions.\nSupport qualification planning, execution, validation, and production ramp activities.\nConduct technical risk assessments and establish mitigation plans.\nDrive successful transfer of engineering solutions into high-volume manufacturing.\nCollaborate with global engineering teams to deploy best practices and enable rapid scaling.\nProcess Control and Manufacturing Excellence\nDefine key process indicators and monitoring systems.\nEstablish process control plans, reaction plans, and qualification strategies.\nDrive Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.\nImprove cycle time, productivity, equipment utilization, and manufacturing efficiency.\nSupport factory automation and digital manufacturing initiatives.\nEquipment and Technology Integration\nPartner with Equipment Engineering teams on equipment qualifications, upgrades, and process optimization.\nAnalyze equipment-process interactions and identify opportunities for improvement.\nSupport recipe governance, process standardization, and technology transfers.\nDrive implementation of new manufacturing technologies and innovative engineering solutions.\nData Analytics and Digital Transformation\nUtilize advanced analytics to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.\nDevelop dashboards and reporting solutions to improve engineering decision-making.\nApply statistical process control (SPC), Design of Experiments (DOE), and data science methodologies.\nLeverage AI-assisted analytics and digital tools to improve operational effectiveness.\nSafety, Compliance, and Operational Discipline\nPromote a safety-first culture within the organization.\nEnsure compliance with Micron quality systems, environmental health and safety requirements, and business processes.\nSupport internal and external audits.\nDrive operational excellence and risk mitigation programs.\nMinimum Qualifications\nBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.\n8+ years of experience in semiconductor manufacturing, test engineering, process engineering, product engineering, or related technical disciplines.\n3+ years of experience leading engineering teams, projects, or technical organizations.\nStrong knowledge of semiconductor test manufacturing processes and process control methodologies.\nExperience in statistical analysis, yield improvement, and structured problem-solving techniques.\nDemonstrated expertise in root cause analysis and corrective action implementation.\nExcellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.\nPreferred Qualifications\nMaster's degree in Engineering or related technical discipline.\nExperience in memory, DRAM, NAND, SSD, or semiconductor backend manufacturing environments.\nExperience supporting Component Test, Final Test, Burn-In, System Level Test, or Automated Test Equipment (ATE) operations.\nKnowledge of SPC, DOE, FMEA, Control Plans, Risk Assessments, and Process Qualifications.\nExperience with JMP, Minitab, Python, SQL, Power BI, Tableau, or similar analytics platforms.\nLean Six Sigma Green Belt, Black Belt, or equivalent certification.\nExperience leading multi-site and global engineering initiatives.\nExperience applying AI-enabled analytics and
