Join a collaborative team where learning, technical growth, and operational excellence are highly valued.\nAs a Wet Mechanical Systems Operations Engineer, you will play a key role in the delivery and long-term success of wet mechanical systems supporting Micron’s New York expansion. You will provide technical oversight throughout design, construction, commissioning, and transition to operations, helping ensure systems are safe, reliable, and ready to support manufacturing from day one.\nResponsibilities:\nOversee the design, construction, and commissioning of wet mechanical systems, including plumbing, HVAC hydronic systems, and process piping\nReview engineering deliverables such as P&IDs, equipment specifications, and system layouts for compliance with project requirements and industry standards\nCoordinate with design partners, contractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders to support system integration and project execution\nLead quality assurance, risk assessment, and commissioning activities to ensure safety, reliability, and operational readiness\nSupport the transition from project execution into sustaining engineering and ongoing operations\nMinimum Qualifications:\nBachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field\n8+ years of experience with wet mechanical systems engineering, including plumbing, HVAC hydronic systems, or process piping\nKnowledge of industry codes and standards such as ASME B31.1, UPC, IPC, and ASHRAE\nExperience reviewing engineering documentation, including P&IDs, specifications, and 3D models using tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, or Navisworks\nDemonstrated ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams and external partners\nPreferred Qualifications:\nExperience supporting semiconductor, pharmaceutical, or other high-tech manufacturing facility projects\nFamiliarity with BIM coordination, clash detection, and integrated system design workflows\nKnowledge of sustainable design practices, including energy-efficient hydronic systems and water conservation strategies\nExperience with control systems, including PLC and SCADA platforms, and system commissioning activities\nProfessional certifications such as PE, LEED AP, or CPD and experience and/or interest in developing Agentic AI workflows to enhance engineering processes and project execution\nThe US base salary range that Micron Technology estimates it could pay for this full-time position is:\n$123,000.00 - $208,000.00 a yearAdditional compensation may include benefits, bonuses and equity.\nOur salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.
