In alignment with our Microsoft values, we are committed to cultivating an inclusive work environment for all employees to positively impact our culture every day.\nThe APAC Portfolio Manager manages the governance and support the deployment of large-scale, campus, and regionally based datacenter delivery solutions, with accountability for safe, predictable, compliant, and high-quality construction, integration, commissioning, and speed to market.\nThe APAC Portfolio Manager combines technical, commercial, organizational, and people leadership capability. The role partners with regional leaders, local project teams, internal stakeholders, consultants, authorities, general contractors, and vendors to make timely data-based decisions and deliver complex, multi-disciplinary projects in line with DCD guidelines, approved baselines, contracted milestones, and Microsoft values.\nResponsibilities\nPortfolio Governance and Business Rhythm\nCoordinate APAC governance meetings, portfolio reviews, and leadership forums.\n\nPrepare agendas and materials; track decisions, actions, and commitments.\n\nSupport project meetings with a safety- and security-first approach.\n\nTurn leadership decisions into clear cross-functional actions.\n\nProject Tracking, Analytics, and Executive Reporting\nTrack project cost, schedule, scope, milestones, and KPIs.\n\nConsolidate APAC portfolio health, risks, and escalations.\n\nProduce consistent executive reports and briefing materials.\n\nRisk Mitigation, Safety, and Regulation\nMaintain portfolio risks, mitigations, actions, owners, and decisions.\n\nMonitor safety and security metrics and report issues to leadership.\n\nPromote regulatory compliance and a safety-first culture.\n\nSupport audits and incident investigations.\n\nBudget, Controls, and Financial Acumen\nMonitor budgets, project controls, approvals, changes, and payments.\n\nIdentify cost-effective delivery options and recommend solutions.\n\nVendor Selection and Management\nSupport RFPs, expenditure requests, and project approvals.\n\nMonitor vendor performance, compliance, cash flow, and budgets.\n\nCross-Functional Integration and Goal Alignment\nAlign Engineering, Operations, Legal, Controls, Planning, Cost, Supply Chain, EPC, Sustainability, and Security teams.\n\nCoordinate APAC-wide initiatives and track implementation.\n\nShare process updates that improve cost, cycle time, and efficiency.\n\nContinuous Improvement, Standardization, and AI-Enabled Innovation\nShare lessons learned and standardize\neffective\npractices across APAC.\n\nCoordinate approved AI use cases for reporting, risk insights, action tracking, and knowledge management.\n\nPilot and scale practical AI-enabled workflows with functional and digital teams.\n\nEmbody Our Culture and Values\nDemonstrate Microsoft culture and values in every interaction.\n\nQualifications\nRequired / Minimum Qualifications\nBachelor's Degree in Construction Project Management, Architecture, Engineering, or related field AND 5+ years related experience OR equivalent experience.\n\nExperience delivering construction or capital projects within a regional, multi-country, or portfolio-level environment.\n\nDemonstrated experience in project governance, reporting, and stakeholder communication with leadership.\n\nAdditional or Preferred Qualifications\nBachelor's Degree in Construction Project Management, Architecture, Engineering, or related field AND 8+ of progressive experience in program management, portfolio management, PMO, construction delivery support, capital projects, or complex regional operations.\n\n5+ years experience working on data center projects.\n\nExperience in mission-critical infrastructure, high-tech manufacturing, major capital projects, or complex engineering programs.\n\nExperienced data analysis and reporting capability, including Power BI, Excel, project controls dashboards, or similar portfolio reporting tools.\n\nPractical experience applying AI, automation, Copilot, Power Platform, document intelligence, or analytics tools to improve governance workflows, reporting efficiency, knowledge management, and decision support.\n\nWorking understanding of the construction delivery lifecycle, including schedule milestones, risk management, cost forecasting, safety, quality, commissioning, completion, and handover.\n\nAbility to influence across cross-functional teams without direct authority, with Experienced executive communication skills and the ability to synthesize complex project information into clear leadership narratives.\nOther Requirements: Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role.
