Each day we build on our values of respect, integrity, and accountability to create a culture of inclusion where everyone can thrive at work and beyond.\nResponsibilities\nContribute in the development of state-of-the-art techniques advancing the capabilities of Microsoft 365 Copilot, with a particular emphasis on graph-based information retrieval, contextualization and personalization, LLM prompt engineering, LLM post-training, synthetic data generation, and LLM-based evaluation.\nGain a deep understanding of your area of research and applicable research techniques, as well as a basic knowledge of industry trends and share your knowledge with immediate team members.\nSystematically document and analyze proposed methodologies with the aim of producing technical reports to share with your team and partners.\nContribute to the development of scalable with the goal of creating prototypes for enhancing the Microsoft 365 user experience.\nAssist with the development of usable datasets for modeling purposes and support the scaling of feature ideation and data preparation.\nQualifications\nRequired Qualifications\nYou must be legally authorised to work in the United Kingdom to be eligible for this role. (Legally authorised = has citizenship or has been granted a valid visa or work permit)\nCurrently pursuing a Bachelor's or a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering, Artificial Intelligence or a related field OR currently pursuing a PhD with a relevant project\nDemonstrated interest in research or applied AI (e.g., academic projects, open-source contributions).\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience developing or applying predictive analytics, statistical modelling, data mining, or machine learning algorithms.\nThis position will be open for a minimum of 5 days, with applications accepted on an ongoing basis until the position is filled.\nMicrosoft is an equal opportunity employer.
