We are looking for a passionate, high-energy individual to help build the network that powers the world’s largest online services.\nThe CO+I Commissioning team is responsible for managing the end-to-end delivery of new data center capacity for CO+I. Through development of leading program management and construction processes, this team is chartered with managing workflow across vertically and horizontally aligned project managers and virtual teams to successfully deliver multi-million-dollar, multi-year data center construction programs.\nResponsibilities\nAs a Campus Commissioning Manager, you will work with data center architects, engineers, construction managers, network engineers, data center operations teams and finance teams to streamline and improve data center capacity delivery. You will execute against scope, schedule, and budget to deliver the latest generation of datacenter technology to Microsoft’s Online Services. You shall be responsible for ensuring the project is commissioned in accordance with Microsoft's standards and directly manage the process for projects in the Johor Bahru metro, Southeast Asia (SEA) region and support other Commissioning Projects in APAC Region.\nIn alignment with our Microsoft values, we are committed to cultivating an inclusive work environment for all employees to positively impact our culture every day.\nResponsibilities: \n1. Business Processes\na. Reports to the CO+I SEA Sub-Region Commissioning Lead\nb. Primary responsibility for assigned metro commissioning projects with secondary responsibility for other CO+I commissioning projects for the region\nc. Create and/or maintain best practices to identify and incorporate quality and cost-effective solutions.\nd. Manage the contracted Commissioning Agent assigned to Data Center construction projects in the assigned metro.\ne. Development of Commissioning Procedures and Standards.\nf. Construction site inspections to review QA/QC and commissioning process.\ng. Drive the project Commissioning process including scope and schedule.\nh. Travel required.\n2. Communications\na. Regularly reviews Construction Progress, QA/QC, Commissioning progress, issues, and KPI metrics to report to management.\nb. Coordinate meetings and activities of vendor project managers including integration of lessons learned.\nc. Manage client representatives and partners to define and align on scope, schedule, and budget.\nd. Attend scheduled owner/architect/contractor (OAC) and other project meetings, and report as necessary.\ne. Report Project Progress on scope, schedule, and budget weekly or as required.\n3. Accountability\na. Responsible for developing, managing, and reporting on scope, schedule of the Commissioning Process for CO+I Projects.\nb. Manage the Commissioning process for assigned metro projects.\nc. Reporting of the Commissioning process to management on a regular basis.\nd. Work independently in support of the CO+I Program.\n4. Strategy and Development\na. Manage data center commissioning project delivery strategy in alignment with the CO+I road map strategy.\nb. Refine practices/policies and develop methods/techniques for driving solutions including development of commissioning procedures.\nc. Provides input into a long-term delivery strategy and incorporates requirements into the project execution plans.\n5. Vendor Management and contract compliance\na. Provide Vendor oversight and performance management (Scorecard driven).\nb. Preparation of RFP's, PER's, and other project approval tools & templates.\n6. Relocation required to defined location.\nQualifications\nQualifications:\nRequired/Minimum Skills & Qualifications:\n7+ years relevant technical engineering experienceOR Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services, Technology, Computer Science or related field AND 5+ years technical engineering experience\nOR Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services, Technology, Computer Science or related field AND 4+ years technical engineering experience\nOR Doctorate Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services, Technology, Computer Science or related field AND 4+ years technical engineering experience\n\nAt least 5 years’ experience in Data Center facility construction and/or commissioning \nAt least 5 years of construction experience \nAt least 5 years of experience with electrical and mechanical test equipment\nData Center Commissioning \nConstruction QA/QC \nProject Management \nData Center Operation and Maintenance \nUnderstanding of UPS systems, switchgear, generators and critical mechanical systems \nAble to develop and write detailed Commissioning Scripts \nIssue identification and resolution management \nProficiency with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), MS Visio, MS Project, MS Team\n Preferred Qualifications:\nBachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services, Technology, Computer Science or related field AND 9+ years technical engineering experienceOR Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services, Technology, Computer Science or related field AND 7+ years technical engineering experience\nOR Doctorate Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services, Technology, Computer Science or related field AND 4+ years technical engineering experience.\n\nCommissioning Certification \nOSHA 30 or equivalent qualification \nNFPA-70E \nProject Management Professional (PMP) certification \nBackground Check Requirements:\nAbility to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role.
