You will work directly with technical and business stakeholders to design and implement secure, scalable, and resilient architectures that support AI workloads and business-critical applications. Your goal as a Solution Engineer is to win the technical decision of customers to commit to use Microsoft technology and cloud services. The solution engineer is expected to both own and win customers’ technical decisions, as well as find new opportunities through their contacts and engagements to build a successful business in their territory.\nYou bring deep expertise in migrating core workloads - including Windows, SQL Server, Linux, PostgreSQL, and Oracle-to Azure. Beyond migration, you lead customers through modernization using the 6R strategy, containerization best practices, and Azure-native services like App Service and AKS, while exploring how AI and intelligent agents can accelerate legacy transformation.\nYou also apply strong networking knowledge to design hybrid and cloud-native solutions, including virtual networks, VPNs, and secure routing architectures that meet enterprise performance and compliance needs. Use a consultative and/or Challenger approach, and set clear rules of engagement for extended teams, such as role boundaries and handoff strategies.\nDrive technical sales using demos, proofs of concept and architecture accelerators to shape solution design and enable deployments.\nLead architecture sessions and technical workshops to speed up Azure adoption.\nBuild strategy by turning the agreed customer vision into a clear plan. Address concerns, prevent and remove technical blockers, validate a strong business case for investment, and explain technical complexity in terms of business impact.\nWork with the customer, account team and partners to build and manage an implementation roadmap.\nKeep project decisions, delivery and implementation moving at pace with customers and partners.\nBuild trusted relationships with customer platform leads to co-design secure, scalable solutions.\nResolve technical blockers by working with engineering teams and sharing customer insights.\nScale through partners by acting as the liaison between partners and the account team.
