We work together with a growth mindset, collaborate to achieve shared goals, and build on our values of respect, integrity, and accountability to create an inclusive environment where everyone can thrive\nResponsibilities\nAs a Data Center Project Manager, you will:\nManage assigned projects and operational activities to support service delivery objectives, schedules, and priorities.\nMonitor project costs and contribute to delivering work within agreed budget requirements.\nFollow Microsoft safety and security policies and procedures and promptly report identified safety or security concerns.\nSupport the troubleshooting and resolution of service incidents, escalating issues to the appropriate stakeholders when required.\nHelp identify potential customer or service impacts arising from operational events and coordinate appropriate actions.\nReview schedules, identify potential conflicts, and coordinate solutions with relevant stakeholders.\nBuild and maintain effective working relationships with internal teams, customers, suppliers, and other stakeholders, helping ensure expectations and requirements are clearly understood.\nContribute to planning maintenance activities and identifying opportunities to reduce operational risk and service disruption.\nSupport root cause analysis (RCA) and continuous improvement activities following incidents or operational issues.\nTake accountability for the quality and completeness of assigned work and contribute to a positive customer experience.\nShare knowledge and best practices and collaborate effectively across the wider data center organization.\nEmbody Microsoft’s culture and values.\nQualifications\nRequired Qualifications\nHigh School Diploma or equivalent and relevant industry experience, OR\nEquivalent practical experience, training, or education relevant to the role.\nDemonstrated ability to coordinate projects, operational activities, or technical work involving multiple stakeholders.\nExperience following established safety, security, and operational procedures within a technical or operational environment.\nAbility to identify, troubleshoot, and appropriately escalate operational or service issues.\nBackground Check Requirements\nAbility to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements is required for this role.\nThis includes, but is not limited to:\nMicrosoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire or transfer and every two years thereafter.\nPreferred Qualifications\nThe following are preferred rather than required:\nExperience working with physical IT infrastructure, such as servers, networking, storage, data center racks/enclosures, capacity, or structured cabling.\nKnowledge or experience in areas such as Computer Science, Telecommunications, Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, Mathematics, or related technical disciplines, gained through education, training, or practical experience.\nRelevant professional or technical certifications, such as CompTIA, Microsoft, networking, PMP, ITIL, CDCP, inventory control, or comparable certifications.\nExperience collaborating with customers, suppliers, vendors, and cross-functional teams in an operational or project environment.\nWe recognize that relevant skills can be developed through different career paths, education, training, and practical experience.
