Ability to clearly frame a complex problem, deep analytical skills, and intellectual curiosity are keys to success within our team.\nThe Finance Director will lead the Microsoft Elevate Finance team and manage a team of analysts responsible for developing the annual revenue plan, advising senior management on strategies to gain share, and evaluating resource allocation decisions.\nThis is a unique and exciting opportunity to contribute towards Microsoft’s philanthropic commitment and help set the course for a growing organization.\nResponsibilities\nProvide direction to senior business leaders with respect to financial management, resource prioritization and optimizing headcount.\n\nLead the annual target-setting and planning processes to align financial objectives with business priorities.\n\nManage business and financial performance to deliver on revenue growth and operating expenses targets.\n\nProvide actionable insights on resource allocation based on ROI analysis\n\nImplement automation and AI to streamline financial analysis and reporting\n\nDirect financial modeling and analysis to deepen leadership’s understanding of business health, assess competitive offerings, and evaluate usage and revenue performance.\n\nCollaborate across Corporate and Field Finance teams to drive alignment, share business insights, and leverage best practices\n\nCoach the team to prioritize and simplify its work by providing the context needed to make sound decisions.\n\nQualifications\nRequired/Minimum Qualifications\nMaster's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 8+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance, or related field OR Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 10+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance, or related field OR equivalent experience.\n\n1+ year(s) experience managing direct reports.\n\nAdditional or Preferred Qualifications\nExperience working with Microsoft’s MCAPS organization.\n\n5+ years of experience working in a matrixed organization.\n\n1+ year(s) experience managing direct reports.\n\nAbility to use the latest AI tools to increase impact, improve and scale processes\n\nAdvanced time management, prioritization, and organization skills\n\nFinancial Analysis M6 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $130,900 - $277,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $165,600 - $303,600 per year.\nCertain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
