Join us to do meaningful work that changes the world and helps shape what’s next for everyone.\nResponsibilities\nPrepare customer contract assessments in compliance with Microsoft’s ASC (Accounting Standards Codification) 606 accounting policies and guidelines to document conclusions and calculate revenue adjustments.\nAssesses contract amendments to draw proper ASC 606 conclusions and determines Day 2 revenue adjustments.\nEngage in discussions with Deal Desk to gather deal specific information and business context required to effectively complete contract reviews and amendment assessments.\nReviews peer work product for completeness and accuracy once proficiency of product and services knowledge is attained.\nPerform month end close revenue tasks independently.\nDevelop deep understanding of MS (Microsoft) revenue policies to effectively pose and field inquiries to/from business partners.\nIdentify deal trends to raise for leadership consideration.\nAbility to develop and grow in role and at Microsoft.\nEmbody our culture and values\nQualifications\nRequired/Minimum Qualifications\nMaster's Degree in Business, Accounting /Finance, or related field AND 1+ year(s) accounting or finance experience OR Bachelor's Degree in Business, Accounting /Finance, or related field AND 2+ years accounting or finance experience OR equivalent experience.\nOther Requirements:\nCitizenship & Citizenship Verification: This position requires verification of citizenship due to citizenship-based legal restrictions. Specifically, this position supports United States federal, state, and/or local United States government agency customers and is subject to certain citizenship-based restrictions where required or permitted by applicable law. To meet this legal requirement, and as a condition of employment, the successful candidate’s citizenship will be verified with a valid passport.\nAdditional or Preferred Qualifications\nMaster's Degree in Business, Accounting /Finance, or related field AND 3+ years accounting or finance experience OR Bachelor's Degree in Business, Accounting /Finance, or related field AND 5+ years accounting or finance experience OR equivalent experience.\nProfessional accounting certification such as CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or equivalent.\nExperience in the technology or software industry and/or with multinationals with multi-product and segment finance roles.\nASC 606 experience/practical application.\nSolid communication and problem-solving skills to navigate business scenarios.\nCritical thinking, comfortable dealing with ambiguity, tenacity to find answers and reach conclusions, and operational excellence.\nAbility to work both independently and as a team player.\nSolid Microsoft Office application skills, especially Excel.\nAccounting IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $77,800 - $153,700 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $102,200 - $169,900 per year.\nCertain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
