CO+I operates one of the largest cloud networks on the planet - comprised of more than 160 Datacenters, 130+ edge sites, 2+ million miles of fiber, and millions of servers and network and storage devices.\nThe Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) team is seeking a Metro Construction EHS Manager with the passion to drive value across complex supplier relationships and demonstrated experience in supplier management. Strong analytical skills, using data to design processes that scale, effective collaboration across internal and external stakeholders, and the drive to continuously improve and achieve business objectives will be critical to success in this role. The span and complexity of our activities requires advanced knowledge and technical specialization in construction and design safety management to recognize and control risks.\nThis is a highly influential position reporting to the Regional Director, Construction and Design Safety. Position location is in Jakarta, Indonesia and will be a site-based role supporting construction and lease projects in this metro.\nIn alignment with our Microsoft values, we are committed to cultivating an inclusive work environment for all employees to positively impact our culture every day.\nResponsibilities\nResponsibilities\nWith minimal guidance: develop, own and drive process improvement in the EHS framework within CO+I organizations to deliver key results that align with organizational goals\nAssess organizational capability and requirements, identifying tactics to improve performance, and developing strategic approaches to manage risk.\nMaintain EHS performance scorecard information, reporting dashboard and deliver summary overviews and related communications to stakeholders.\nEnsure compliance with all Microsoft policies as well as regulatory policies at the local, federal, or regional level, and ensure that programs support accuracy, quality, appropriate review, and thorough documentation. \nAs a Metro Construction EHS Manager, some of the skills that will contribute to your success in meeting performance objectives include:\nExcellent project management experience and the ability to track and track progress of key deliverables against established timelines.\nAbility to create clarity from ambiguous and complex situations.\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills, with experience engaging and influencing cross-functional stakeholders and senior executives.\nStrengths in problem solving, issue-resolution, attention to detail, and ability to balance multiple priorities across a geographically distributed set of projects.\nStrong sense of ownership, urgency, drive, independence, and flexibility.\nSuperior analytical and quantitative skills; experience using data and metrics to test theories, confirm or disprove assumptions, and measure success.\nExtensive knowledge of standards and regulatory requirements to assure compliance and proactive management of risk. \nEstablishment of safety and health mitigation goals and developing metrics, dashboards and/or scorecards to track/communicate/drive progress across an organization. \nInterpreting safety metrics and effectively communicating insights to leadership to drive action and accountability. \nDemonstrating excellent project management skills, including the ability to lead teams, work in a fast-paced environment and with the ability to produce and maintain timelines, and document progress.\nAbility to drive multiple high priority initiatives simultaneously. \nDemonstrated ability to influence teams to achieve shared goals and objectives.\nStrong collaboration skills and the ability to work with cross-functional teams.\nThe successful candidate will have proven leadership and subject matter expertise within the following areas:\nElectrical Safety\nControl of Hazardous Energy (Lockout/Tagout) \nOccupational Noise Control \nExposure Assessment (Industrial Hygiene) \nEmergency Response Planning \nWorking at Heights \nConfined Space Entry \nHeavy Material Handling \nPowered Industrial Trucks (Forklifts) \nCranes/Rigging\nTrenching & Excavation\nFire/Life Safety \nMobile Elevated Work Platforms \nHazardous Substances Handling \nWaste Management \nEmergency response plans \nRisk assessment and hazard mitigation\nPermit to Work processes\nRoot Cause Analysis \nHigh Risk Activity Management\nQualifications\nQualifications\nRequired Qualifications:\nA University/Bachelor's degree in Environmental, Health and Safety, Occupational Health and Safety, a related science/engineering discipline, or other applicable fields of study. Experience and/or Certification can be substituted.\n5+ years of progressive professional experience in Safety related positions is required, with demonstrated knowledge and experience controlling the broad spectrum of risks across multiple sites, particularly in Europe / Spain\nMust have current working knowledge of OSHA Regulations, and other Regulatory or non-Regulatory safety standards applicable to the location of Construction and Operations\n\nPreferred Qualifications\nCertification as an EHS Professional\nExperience with developing and implementing organisational frameworks, standards, and processes.\nExperience designing and deploying global health and safety programs.\nDemonstrated experience and success with delivering cross functional programs, including ownership, and driving results.\nMission Critical project delivery\nThis position will be open for a minimum of 5 days, with applications accepted on an ongoing basis until the position is filled.\nMicrosoft is an equal opportunity employer.
