Principal Cloud Solution Architect, Cloud and Agentic AI Solutions

We are looking for a Principal Cloud Solution Architect, Cloud and Agentic AI Solutions to help customers move AI applications and agents from experimentation to production on Azure. In this customer-facing role, you will lead technical engagements across architecture design, proof of concepts, pilots, and production milestones, accelerating adoption of Azure AI Foundry, Agent Factory, GitHub, app platforms, and supporting data services. As part of the Cloud and AI Apps team, you will use repeatable IP, templates, agents, Factory, Unified VAS, and Acceleration Programs to deliver scalable outcomes, generate incremental pipeline, and improve customer time-to-value. You will help ensure customer health, resiliency, sovereignty, security, capacity, and optimization for mission-critical workloads, while contributing feedback and reusable assets that improve delivery quality at scale. This role is 100% remote.

Responsibilities

• Engage with customer IT and business leaders to understand their application, agent, data, and AI priorities, and design secure, scalable solutions that drive business value, customer confidence, and production adoption.
• Lead technical engagements across architecture design, proof of concepts, pilots, and production milestones to accelerate adoption of Azure AI Foundry, Agent Factory, GitHub, app platforms, integration services, and supporting data services.
• Own the end-to-end technical delivery results, ensuring completeness and accuracy of consumption and customer success plans in collaboration with the Customer Success Account Manager.
• Drive next best actions and generate incremental Cloud pipeline from each engagement.
• Deliver repeatable intellectual property (IP) and contribute to centralized IP development to accelerate deployment and achieve targeted outcomes.
• Provide delivery oversight and escalation support for key Factory engagements across AI Apps, agents, and app innovation projects, using Cloud Acceleration Factory as a delivery differentiator to accelerate time-to-value.
• Lead the health, resiliency, sovereignty, security, capacity management, and optimization of mission-critical workloads, including service and model retirements, to ensure readiness for production-scale AI and agent use cases.
• Act as the Voice of the Customer by sharing adoption issues, capacity constraints, product gaps, deployment blockers, platform readiness feedback, and preview limitations with engineering teams to accelerate resolution and improve product outcomes.
• Support customer and partner skilling through technical workshops, readiness activities, and guidance on AI Apps, agents, GitHub, app modernization, resiliency, and production readiness.
• Maintain deep technical expertise and stay current with Azure, AI, GitHub, and cloud-native development trends, while contributing to internal and external technical communities.
• Maintain deep technical expertise in Azure AI Foundry, Copilot Studio, Agent365, Microsoft IQs, GitHub Copilot, GitHub Platform, app platforms, containers, serverless, integration services, DevOps, and supporting data and customer health workloads, while contributing to internal and external technical communities.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or related field AND 7+ years experience in Cloud & AI platform technologies, including Azure architecture, AI and agents, GitHub, Agentic DevOps, AI Agent development, data platforms, application modernization, resiliency, security, and production-scale cloud delivery, information technology (IT) consulting/support, systems administration, network operations, software development/support, technology solutions, practice development, architecture, and/or consulting
  • OR equivalent experience

Preferred Qualifications (PQs)

• 7+ years of technical enterprise experience in one or more of the following Cloud & AI technology areas:
  • Data platforms and analytics: Microsoft Fabric, Azure Databricks, Azure databases (SQL, Cosmos DB, PostgreSQL), data engineering, or Microsoft Purview governance
  • AI applications and agents: Azure AI Foundry, Copilot Studio, agent frameworks, LLM/RAG application development, or responsible AI
  • Application platforms and developer tooling: GitHub, GitHub Copilot, containers (AKS), serverless, integration services, or DevOps/Agentic DevOps
• 7+ years of experience designing and delivering secure, scalable data and AI solutions, from architecture and proof of concept through production deployment, with a focus on measurable business value and customer adoption.
• 5+ years of experience owning end-to-end technical delivery results, including resolving complex blockers and addressing security, privacy, governance, reliability, performance, cost optimization, and responsible AI considerations.
• 7+ years experience across cloud, data, AI, application, and developer platforms, with a growth mindset demonstrated through reusable solution development, technical skilling, knowledge sharing, mentoring, and engagement with technical communities
• Technical Cloud Certification in any of the following:
  • Azure Developer Associate (AZ-204)
  • Azure AI Engineer Associate (AI-102)
  • GitHub Copilot Certifications
  • Fabric Analytics Engineer Associate (DP-600)
  • Azure Data Scientist Associate (DP-100)
  • Fabric Data Engineer Associate (DP-700)
  • Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305)

Cloud Solution Architecture IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $130,900 - $251,900 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $165,600 - $272,300 per year.
