Each day we build on our values of respect, integrity, and accountability to create a culture of inclusion where everyone can thrive at work and beyond.\nResponsibilities\nResponsibilities:\nEmpower a culture of safety, security, and compliance in all aspects of our Datacenter operations\nLead a team of Electrical Engineers supporting Microsoft's online services \nAct as the technical subject matter expert for on-site operations related to a large-scale mission critical electrical system, design, and functionality\nWork with commissioning teams to properly test and validate installation, operation, and performance of electrical systems\nMaximize Critical Environment (CE) availability to ensure optimal operational efficiency \nMust possess strong leadership competencies and a willingness to collaborate and work cross- functionally to maximize business results and positive customer experiences. \nDeliver on cost/energy efficiency initiatives \nExhibit good interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills to be used at varying levels of business up to and including business executives.\nAble to work with other technical and non-technical groups in a fast-paced environment and do so with an even temperament. \nEstablish and enhance strong working relationships and engagement with our Engineering Groups (EGs), and business partners\nWork with regional and global peers to share and build best practices across the entire datacenter portfolio \nQualifications\nRequired Qualifications:\nHigh School Qualification or equivalent AND 10+ years experience of mission-critical service management (e.g., providing IT services, manufacturing, warehouse, retail, military, or managing physical operations in an IT and/or critical environment infrastructure) OR equivalent experience\n\n3+ years people management experience.\n\nBackground Check Requirements:\nAbility to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:\nMicrosoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.\nCitizenship Verification: This position requires verification of citizenship due to citizenship-based legal restrictions. Specifically, this position supports United States federal, state, and/or local United States government agency customers and is subject to certain citizenship-based restrictions where required or permitted by applicable law. To meet this legal requirement, and as a condition of employment, the successful candidate’s citizenship will be verified with a valid passport.\nCriminal Justice Information Services: This position may require passing a background check conducted through the CJIS criminal justice information system by authorized local, state, and/or federal agencies.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nMasters, Bachelor's, or Technical College Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field AND 10+ years experience in enterprise-level experience managing large scale and complex projects/programs, or critical environment infrastructures (e.g., UPS, Generator, AHU) OR High School Qualification or equivalent AND 12+ years experience in enterprise-level experience managing large scale and complex projects/programs, or critical environment infrastructures (e.g., UPS, Generator, AHU)\no OR equivalent experience.\n 5+ years people management experience.\n 5+ years experience in Datacenter Operations or other Critical Environment infrastructures (e.g., UPS, STS, ATS, Generator, AHU)\nExperience with electrical maintenance of electrical distribution equipment\nData Center Operations Management M6 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $140,200 - $284,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $185,600 - $312,000 per year.\nCertain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
