These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:\n\nMicrosoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years\n\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience designing and building large-scale distributed systems in a cloud environment. \nStrong software engineering skills in C#, Java, C++, Rust, or a comparable language. \nExperience developing highly available services with a strong focus on reliability, performance, and maintainability. \nKnowledge of cloud-native architectures, storage systems, networking, and service operations. \nExcellent problem-solving, collaboration, and communication skills. \nExperience with search technologies, information retrieval, ranking systems, vector databases, or recommendation systems. \nExperience with AI/ML systems, LLMs, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), agent frameworks, or knowledge management platforms. \nFamiliarity with Azure services, distributed data systems, and large-scale processing pipelines. \nExperience building developer platforms, APIs, or enterprise SaaS products. \nPassion for operational excellence, observability, automation, and customer-focused engineering. \nSoftware Engineering IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $142,800 - $274,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $188,000 - $304,200 per year.\nCertain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
