We have a multi-billion dollar business that is growing rapidly, and we run some of the world's highest scale observability services both for Microsoft internally and for our external customers, processing over 1.5 Exabytes of logs daily and tracking over 100 billion active metrics.\nWe are hiring a Principal Software Engineering Manager to lead a team focused on ingestion gateway services that handle all MS Azure services, telemetry logs and metrics within the broader Observability platform. We build and operate the telemetry systems Microsoft engineers depend on to understand our customer base and run a wide variety of businesses. This role blends technical leadership and people management: setting direction, making practical architecture tradeoffs, improving detection and mitigation, reducing operational toil, and helping the team turn live-site learning into durable engineering improvements.
