Each day we build on our values of respect, integrity, and accountability to create a culture of inclusion where everyone can thrive at work and beyond.\nResponsibilities\nAnalyze and improve performance of advanced algorithms on large-scale datasets and cutting-edge research in machine intelligence and machine learning applications.\nImplement prototypes of scalable systems in AI applications.\nCollaborate closely with team members on developing systems from prototyping to production level.\nDevelop solutions for real world, large-scale problems.\nUnder instruction from others, research new tools, technologies, and methods being used in the research community and contribute your knowledge around a specialized tool/method to support planning for research projects.\nGain an understanding of their research as it relates to Microsoft products or business groups and assists in technology transfer attempts, participating on standards organizations, filing patents, authoring white papers, developing or maintaining tools/services for internal Microsoft use, or consulting for product or business groups.\nQualifications\nRequired Qualifications:\nCurrently pursuing a Bachelor/Master/PhD Degree in a relevant field\nMust have at least one additional quarter/semester of school remaining following the completion of the internship\nPreferred Qualifications:\nExperience with one or more general purpose programming languages including: C/C++, Java, MATLAB or Python, ideally languages such as pyTorch, Tensorflow and other deep learning toolkits.\nExperience (classroom or work related) in one or more areas of computer science, such as Natural Language Understanding, Neural Networks, Computer Vision, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Algorithmic Foundations of Optimization, Data Science, Privacy or other relevant research focuses.\nThis position will be open for a minimum of 5 days, with applications accepted on an ongoing basis until the position is filled.\nMicrosoft is an equal opportunity employer.
