May publish research. \nBridges the gap between researchers and development teams, bringing new technology and approaches into production to solve immediate product needs. Identifies and applies research-backed solutions to positively impact Microsoft products or services. \nGains expertise in specific research subareas and broad research fields, applies advanced concepts to product needs, and consults with engineers and product teams. Researches tools and methods to improve product quality, performance, or efficiency. \nReviews and prepares data for analysis, ensuring quality and technical constraints are met. Develops usable datasets for modeling, adapts cleaned data for machine learning, and designs ETL pipelines. Collaborates to apply state-of-the-art algorithms to business problems and uses statistical tools to evaluate machine learning models. \nSupports the application and deployment of machine learning algorithms, seeks information to improve models, and helps create, apply, and verify models through iterations. Assists with experiments and sets up monitoring to track production models. \nDocuments work in progress, experimentation results, and plans to ensure processes are captured, participates in creating informal documentation, shares findings to promote innovation, and follows ethics and privacy policies when executing research processes or collecting data. \nQualifications\nRequired Qualifications\nMaster's Degree in relevant field AND 1+ year(s) related research experienceOR Bachelor's Degree in relevant field AND 2+ years related research experience\nOR equivalent experience. \n\nPreferred Qualifications\nDoctorate in relevant field OR equivalent experience\nExperience in publishing academic papers as a lead author or essential contributor.\nExperience in participating in a top conference in relevant research domain. \nThis position will be open for a minimum of 5 days, with applications accepted on an ongoing basis until the position is filled.\nMicrosoft is an equal opportunity employer.
