Our team prides itself on being direct and accountable, holding execution excellence as a non-negotiable, and backing every person on the team to grow into their next role.\nResponsibilities\nAs a Security Cloud Solution Architect on our Federal Government and Defence team, you'll become the trusted technical advisor for some of Australia's most mission-critical public sector customers, guiding them through security transformation on the Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 platforms. Based in Canberra, you'll work closest to the customers who need us most, helping them secure environments against real and evolving threats while unlocking the full value of their Microsoft security investment. This opportunity will allow you to deepen your technical depth across Microsoft's security portfolio including Sentinel, Defender, Purview and Security Copilot, build genuine influence with senior government and defence stakeholders, and get in on the ground floor of agentic, AI-powered security operations as the practice is being built.\nWe are looking for a Cloud Solution Architect (CSA), specialising in Security who is passionate about driving our customers' security transformation on the Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 Platforms. This is a customer-facing role, owning the technical relationship between the customer and Microsoft, helping customers to leverage their Microsoft investments through architecture, implementation, and operational health engagements. This role is flexible in that you can work from home when not onsite with customers.\nYou will drive positive Customer Satisfaction and become a trusted advisor as well as provide feedback and insights from customers/partners and be the Voice of Customer to share insights and best practices, connect with Global Security teams at Microsoft, Engineering and Product teams to remove blockers and influence the solution roadmap.\nYou will land an end-to-end value proposition for Security (i.e., Zero Trust) which spans the breadth of Microsoft Security offerings, and with focus on Threat Protection, ID + Access Management and Cloud Security.\nYou will position and deliver solutions that drive Security product usage as you develop opportunities to drive Customer Success business results & help Customers get value from their Microsoft investments and identify resolutions to Customer blockers by leveraging SA subject matter expertise. Deliver according to MS best practices & using repeatable IP. \nYou will accelerate Business Value of overall Security adoption by improving security posture and ensuring that the solution exhibits “Secure by Design” framework, such as high-performance levels, security, scalability, maintainability, appropriate reusability and reliability upon deployment.\nYou will align your individual skilling to team/area demands & Customer Success goalsas you accelerate customer outcomes and share your expertise, contribute to Intellectual Property (IP) creation & re-use to accelerate customer outcomes. \nYou will run Architectural Design Sessions to build a plan for implementing the solution - governing design in line with customer business goals and their technical environment. Outcome is consensus on solution design and next steps toward production.\nYou will collaborate and orchestrate with other Cloud Solution Architects and MS stakeholders including FastTrack, partner, and Microsoft Consulting in developing complex end-to-end Enterprise solutions with the Microsoft Security platform.\nQualifications\nPreferred Qualifications\nBachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or related field AND 8+ years experience in cloud/infrastructure technologies, information technology (IT) consulting/support, systems administration, network operations, software development/support, technology solutions, practice development, architecture, and/or consulting\nOR Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or related field AND 6+ years experience in cloud/infrastructure technologies, technology solutions, practice development, architecture, and/or consulting\nOR equivalent experience\n4+ years experience working in a customer-facing role (e.g., internal and/or external).\n4+ years experience working on technical projects\nTechnical Certification in Cloud (e.g., Azure, Amazon Web Services, Google, security certifications)\nThis position requires verification of Australian Citizenship due to citizenship based legal restrictions.
