The successful candidate will combine sound financial judgment with the technical curiosity, creativity, and discipline needed to make these workflows reliable, maintainable, and efficient. This role will own day-to-day execution, ongoing improvements, and new workflow development within Azure Business Health. This highly visible role will put you at the forefront of developing highly usable applications of AI.\nResponsibilities\nOwn the day-to-day maintenance of the team’s agentic close processes, including recurring refreshes, monthly rollover, troubleshooting, and report publication.\nUse AI-assisted development and automation to reduce manual effort, shorten turnaround times, and improve consistency.\nMaintain the connections between source data, analytical logic, shared definitions, and executive reporting so outputs remain accurate, consistent, and traceable.\nDiagnose and resolve issues across data queries, calculations, scripts, dashboards, and publishing workflows while preserving existing functionality.\nBuild practical, reusable workflows for close, forecasting, business reviews, and recurring analysis\nConnect existing analytical capabilities into end-to-end processes rather than creating disconnected tools or duplicating work.\nBuild solutions that are straightforward to operate and extend, with clear ownership and appropriate safeguards for financial data and shared outputs.\nUnderstand Azure revenue drivers and the financial definitions underlying the team’s reporting.\nReconcile outputs to authoritative sources and distinguish actuals, plans, forecasts, and preliminary results.\nTurn complex analysis into clear dashboards and views that support leadership reviews.\n culture and values \nQualifications\nRequired/minimum qualifications\nMaster's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 2+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance, or related field OR Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 4+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance, or related field OR equivalent experience.\nHighly proficient in using AI-assisted tools (e.g. GitHub Copilot, Claude, Copilot) to develop, debug, or improve workflows, with the judgment to validate generated code and financial outputs.\nAdditional or preferred qualifications\n7+ years of relevant experience with progressive advancement within your discipline\nBS/BA degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, Information Systems, including related disciplines, or MBA preferred\nAbility to troubleshoot across data sources, transformation logic, and reporting layers-not just create a dashboard or prototype.\nStrong attention to detail and a demonstrated ability to maintain reliable processes in a fast-changing environment.\nExcellent cross group collaboration skills including the ability to comfortably communicate with executive management at Microsoft\nAbility to effectively manage multiple inputs across many stakeholders, prioritizing the effort on main drivers\nAbility to deal with ambiguity and uncertainty in a business that evolves at a very fast pace\nStrong analytical and strategic thinking and creativity\nShow propensity for learning, and demonstrate ability to identify, analyze, interpret, and deliver sound solutions\nExecutive level oral and written communication skills, including ability to communicate complex analysis and models in a simple way and to interact with both individual contributors and leaders\nFinancial Analysis IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $97,600 - $188,400 per year.
