HMPM also ensures that our suppliers empower our customers by delivering this hardware and being agile and creative to work through the challenges of new product introduction.\nWe are looking for a passionate, curious, and high-energy individual with a background on server design and manufacturing of products that cover Compute and GPU based AI workloads to join our team and take part in our vision to empower every person and organization on the planet to achieve more with Microsoft’s technology.\n#azurehwjobs#HIFE\nResponsibilities\nLead the hardware manufacturing of products/program/s through the different phases of the product lifecycle. \nStrategically specifies and evaluates dimensions and process requirements to enhance production line quality and efficiency, develops capabilities for end-to-end manufacturing, drives lean manufacturing, investigates trends, and proactively mitigates production risks.\nManage multiple Cloud hardware programs with a goal of ensuring Microsoft’s hardware is manufactured at the highest levels of Q&R, safety and sustainability standards. \nLead a cross functional team within the Manufacturing team in a fast pace and complex environment to ensure partner site readiness, identify and manage build risks, drive for mitigations and lead manufacturing gate reviews. Able to leverage experience and engineering skills to solve problems, fill gaps and achieve objectives through a cross functional team. \nMaintain manufacturing relationships and operations excellence with external partners and suppliers. \nOversees the standardization of manufacturing processes across supplier sites, drives continuous improvement, ensures supplier performance compliance, and implements dashboards for operational efficiency. \nDefines modeling techniques and projection models to optimize production capacity and resources, leads failure analysis methodologies, and reviews specifications for compatibility. Leads efforts to resolve systemic issues, influence technology investments with suppliers, and develops risk mitigation plans.\nBe comfortable and efficient in interacting with management team, highlighting risks and providing recommendations to support product level decisions. Communicate issues and risks to Microsoft stakeholders in a clear and timely manner using written, verbal, and analytic formats.\nQualifications\nRequired Qualifications \nBachelor’s Degree in engineering: Electrical, Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering, or any related engineering degree. \n5+ years experience in a manufacturing environment /repair OR equivalent experience.\nProven leadership, management, facilitation, and problem-solving skills including L1/L2 Triage Capability \nProven interpersonal and communication skills, and experience working effectively with all organizational levels. \nProven experience prioritizing and executing tasks in a high-pressure, fast-faced environment. \nWell versed in Microsoft Office tools (Microsoft Project, PowerPoint, Word, Excel etc.) and Power BI. \nAbility to speak or read in Chinese (Mandarin) \nFluency in English (written and spoken) \nPreferred Qualifications (Desired):\nEngineering experience in designing and/or manufacturing the parts and assemblies used in datacenter hardware.
