We deliver the core infrastructure and foundational technologies for Microsoft's cloud businesses including Microsoft Azure, Bing, MSN, Office 365, OneDrive, Skype, Teams and Xbox Live.\nWe are looking for a Senior Product Managerto join our team!\nResponsibilities\nRESPONSIBILITIES:\nSupport the development and execution of Azure Compute initiatives by driving planning, prioritization, and cross-functional coordination of the Platform Infrastructure. Focus on resolving supply-related challenges, ensuring long-term capacity readiness for cloud services, and delivering efficiency improvements that strengthen business performance and margin outcomes.\n\nEngage with Microsoft cloud business units to define future hardware platform and system requirements and align recommendations for executive approval.\n\nDefine and own platform roadmap and strategy that spans concept, POR, qualification, launch, and scale.\n\nDrive cross-org alignment through interlocks with members from various business units including software and hardware engineering and architecture, networking, datacenter infrastructure, finance, and supply chain management to build data-driven strategic frameworks for decision making.\n\nIdentify and mitigate platform, schedule, and dependency risks early; drive trade-off decisions with clarity and data.\n\nDefine success metrics and track execution against committed milestones\n\nQualifications\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor's Degree AND 5+ years experience in product/service/program management or software development OR equivalent experience\nOther Requirements:\nAbility to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to, the following specialized security screenings:\nMicrosoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.\nPreferred qualifications\nDeep understanding or prior experience in datacenter compute, storage or networking architecture\n\nBachelors or higher degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science\n\n3 years of Product Planning, Product Management or Strategic Planning experience in Data Center, Cloud Infrastructure or Computer Architecture domain\n\n3 years or more experience in server architecture with relevant technologies such as microprocessors, accelerators, memory, storage or networking technologies\n\nDeep understanding of key technologies/ingredients such as Microprocessors, Memory, Storage, Networking, offload engines and/or accelerators \nPrior experience with Data Center HW Infrastructure\n\nAbility to map workload requirements to the right infrastructure solutions\n\nUnderstanding of how compute-centric workloads are transforming due to AI (training/inferencing)\n\nAbility to balance between technology, business, and strategy to inform roadmap decisions.\n\nAbility to drive alignment across stakeholders and influence cross-functional leadership to converge on decisions/recommendations that lead to tangible impact and transformation.\n\nExecutive communication skills - the ability to present and lead discussions with leadership team and abstract details to communicate with clarity and relevance\n\nProven customer obsession in prior roles where customer requirements were gathered and implemented into a product.\n\nFamiliarity and previous experience developing programs through phase gate processes.\n\nProduct Management IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $119,800 - $234,700 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $160,200 - $261,000 per year.\nCertain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
