It is part of the Microsoft XDR portfolio, delivering real-time detection, post-delivery response and recovery, investigation and hunting for SOC analysts and email administrators, along with pre-breach posture and risk reduction. Attackers are shifting from recognizable malicious artifacts toward adaptive, multi-step social engineering and our job is to stay ahead of that shift while keeping protection explainable and operable at enterprise scale.\nWe are a diverse group of product managers, software engineers and security researchers building for customers that include the largest organizations in the world. You will work in a supportive and inclusive environment, alongside some of the strongest people in the industry, with room to make a visible impact and grow your career.\nResponsibilities\nOwn a feature area within Defender for Office 365 end to end. Define the problem, shape the requirements, build the backlog, and partner with engineering and design to drive execution to a shipped, measured result.\nContribute to the area's strategy and roadmap in partnership with the area lead, translating product direction into a concrete plan you can deliver.\nWork directly with customers and partners, listen, validate, and turn what you hear into product decisions and roadmap input.\nDefine and track success criteria for your area. Be data-driven: instrument what you ship, analyze usage, and act on what the data tells you about adoption and quality.\nPartner with marketing, business planning, customer success and support to land releases well. Documentation, readiness, outbound messaging and post-launch feedback loops.\nWork across the Defender suite, collaborating with XDR, identity, endpoint and data teams.\nAnalyze customer and market signals, telemetry and support data to identify unmet needs and opportunities in your area. Evaluate trade-offs and prioritize with your cross-functional partners.\nQualifications\n4+ years of experience as a product manager, including 2+ years in security products for Enterprise organization.\nProven track record of shipping software products or services and owning them after launch.\nStrong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills; comfortable working from data.\nExcellent communication, writing and presentation skills.\nGreat listener with genuine customer empathy and the ability to identify real needs behind stated requests.\nTeam player, confident, independent, curious and enthusiastic.\nAdvantage: hands-on background in email security, threat detection, SOC workflows or XDR.\nAdvantage: experienced in deep-tech security products for large enterprises.\nAdvantage: BA/BSc in Computer Science or a related technical field.\n Qualifications: Other Requirements -\nBA/BSc in Computer Science or a related technical field.\nThis position will be open for a minimum of 5 days, with applications accepted on an ongoing basis until the position is filled.\nMicrosoft is an equal opportunity employer.
