This team drives state-of-the-artconverged solutions, software tools, DevOps workflowsand automation to support silicon design areas such as RTL & VIP Design, Design Verification, Validation, DFT, Emulation, PD Handoffand IP integration.\nResponsibilities\nIn the Senior CAD DevOps Software role, you will:\nBe a leader in a central CAD Software team that develops a common tool stack to internal SoC and IP designs.\n\nLead technical strategy and execution for CAD DevOps workflows, including CI/CD, cloud-based EDA environments, and automation frameworks.\n\nLead software practices within the CAD Software team.\n\nWork in close collaboration with the CAD Hardware and Compute infrastructure teams.\n\nDesign software solutions and documentation that scale to a large user base.\n\nBe the expert in your domain and act in partnership with the execution team.\n\nWork with stakeholders across the Microsoft Silicon groups to collect software requirements.\n\nDevelop, enhance, and integrate CAD Flows and automation for organization-wide use.\n\nQualifications\nRequired Qualifications:\nDoctorate in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field AND 1+ year(s) technical engineering experience\nOR Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field AND 4+ years technical engineering experience\nOR Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field AND 5+ years technical engineering experience\nOR equivalent experience.\nOther Requirements:\nAbility to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements is required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to, the following specialized security screening:\n\nMicrosoft Cloud Background Check. This position is required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire or transfer and every two years thereafter.\n\nThis role will require access to information that is controlled for export under export control regulations, potentially under the U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations or Export Administration Regulations, the EU Dual Use Regulation, and/or other export control regulations. Lawful permanent residents, refugees, and asylees may verify status using other documents, where applicable.\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\nBS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent work experience. \n6+ years of experience in Software development. \nKnowledge of common programming paradigms (Object-Oriented, Functional, etc) \nLeadership skills with proven track record of influencing stakeholders. \nExperienced writing software with industry standard languages like Python, TCL, Perl, C/C++ (Python preferred) \nExpertise to own, maintain and drive complex Software projects independently. \nExpertise in Software Development practices. \nExperience owning and driving end to end software development life cycle for multiple complex software projects. \nMS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent work experience. \n6+ years of relevant experience. \nUnderstanding of software design patterns.\nWell-rounded and familiar with silicon design Tools, Flows and Methodologies. \nExpertise in Azure environments, Azure Security and DevOps concepts\nExperience with continuous integration systems. \nExpertise in Computer Architecture, as well as CPU/SoC design principles. \nExposure to Design and Verification execution and flows/infrastructure that is used \nSilicon Engineering IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $119,800 - $234,700 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $160,200 - $261,000 per year.\nCertain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
