Join us to do meaningful work that changes the world and helps shape what’s next for everyone.\nResponsibilities\nArchitect, design and implement features in the Windows networking stack.\nConduct analysis and do focused investigations based on customer cases related to the core networking areas using a variety of mechanisms such as logging, packet capture, telemetry data.\nDebug, analyze, design, and implement fixes for defects found in the networking stacks.\nCollaboratively work with Azure, Office, and various other teams at Microsoft.\nLearn and keep up with networking standards-based protocols with the goal of building out great functionality to help customers.\nQualifications\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or PythonOR equivalent experience.\n\nOther Requirements\nAbility to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter. \n\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience with networking protocols and architecture.\nExperience in driver/kernel level software.\nSolid coding, debugging, testing, and problem-solving skills.\nSolid communication and collaboration skills.\n8+ years of software development experience.\n5+ years of industry experience with either C/C++ or Rust.\n#W+DJOBS\nSoftware Engineering IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $119,800 - $234,700 per year.
