Thanks to its integrated design, this solution empowers teams to operate with increased agility and deliver significantly superior performance compared to CPU-based alternatives.\nWe are seeking a Snr Software Engineer to join our DPU Runtime (OS) PCIe team responsible for developing cutting edge, high-performance scalable and programmable DPU software with a focus on next generation PCIe device firmware development. You will be a key contributor within our DPU driver software team. You will bring your PCIe, and embedded development experience to contribute to DPU driver code and related host software and support. Your contributions will have a wide impact across Azure through the development of the latest generation PCIe adapter cards.\nResponsibilities\nArchitect and design PCIe firmware for the DPU with an emphasis on device security\nDevelop, maintain and debug PCIe issues, including use of protocol analyzers\nParticipate in code reviews and provide feedback to other developers\nMentor the team members\nQualifications\nBachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR equivalent experience.\nPreferred Qualifications:\n8+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, OR equivalent experience.\n5+ years of Embedded and/or Operating System Kernel development experience\n5+ years of experience designing and architecting complex software systems\n3+ years of experience in technical leadership and/or mentoring\nExperience with PCIe protocol analyzers\nExperience with storage protocols such as NVMe\nExperience with PCIe switches and fabrics\nThis position will be open for a minimum of 5 days, with applications accepted on an ongoing basis until the position is filled.\nMicrosoft is an equal opportunity employer.
