Establish clear roles, boundaries, and handoff strategies across extended teams. \nDevelop Cloud & AI infrastructure migration and modernization strategies that translate the agreed vision into an actionable roadmap. Address concerns, remove technical blockers, validate the business case, and explain complex technology in terms of business impact.\nWork with customers, account teams, and partners to guide platform decisions and implementation planning across VMware, Windows, SQL Server, Linux, storage, networking, application services, and databases.\nDesign solutions using cloud infrastructure expertise, sound architecture, consulting skills, and Microsoft methodologies. Lead proofs of concept and pilots that build momentum toward minimum viable products, incorporating migration, modernization, and AI technologies where appropriate.\nDrive workload migration and modernization across Windows, SQL Server, .NET, Linux, PostgreSQL, Java, and VMware. Use Azure Landing Zones to provide the governance, security, and scalability needed to rehost, replatform, refactor, or rebuild workloads on an enterprise-ready foundation.\nLead technical conversations that demonstrate Azure’s native integration across Microsoft and open-source platforms, helping customers preserve existing investments and accelerate innovation.\nHelp customers reduce cost and complexity by retiring legacy systems and adopting scalable, automated cloud infrastructure. Use Azure Migrate, GitHub Copilot for Azure, Azure Copilot, and FinOps tools to accelerate transformation, streamline. remediation, and optimize spending.\nGuide technical decisions for hybrid, multicloud, and sovereign environments, ensuring compliance, consistency, and control with Azure Arc and Azure Local. \nHelp secure the customer’s environment end to end, from applications to infrastructure, with Microsoft Defender for Cloud, Microsoft Sentinel, and Microsoft Purview.\nCollaborate across migration and modernization teams to support VMware, networking, SQL Server, Windows Server, storage, monitoring, AI applications, and data foundations. \nPartner with specialists and account teams to identify new opportunities, create pipeline, and hand qualified opportunities to the Solution Specialist for pursuit.\nServe as a trusted advisor by proactively uncovering customer pain points and working with partners to develop solutions and business cases for technical leaders.\nRepresent the voice of the customer by sharing insights and best practices with Global Black Belt teams and Engineering to remove blockers and improve products.\nQualifications\nRequired/minimum qualifications\nMaster's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field AND 4+ years technical pre-sales or technical consulting experienceOR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field AND 6+ years technical pre-sales or technical consulting experience OR 7+ years technical pre-sales or technical consulting experience\nOR equivalent experience.\n\nGlobal collaboration is integral to our work at Microsoft, and proficiency in English is essential for effective communication in this role.\nIn addition to the previous requirement, due to the role's core responsabilities, proficiency in Spanish is also required.\nAdditional or preferred qualifications\n8+ years technical pre-sales, technical consulting, or technology delivery, or related experience OR equivalent experience.\n6+ years experience with cloud and hybrid, or on premises infrastructures, architecture designs, migrations, industry standards, and/or technology management.\nCertification in relevant technologies or disciplines (e.g., Office 365, Power BI, Azure Architect and Development exams, Cloud Platform Technologies, Information Security, Architecture, Azure VMware Solution).\nExperience using partner solutions to address customer needs and scale opportunities.\nExperience creating proofs of concept or pilots for migrating and modernizing legacy on-premises systems-including Databases, Oracle, VMware, networking, and storage-that lead to production deployments.\nThis position will be open for a minimum of 5 days, with applications accepted on an ongoing basis until the position is filled.\nMicrosoft is an equal opportunity employer.
