To support multiple initiatives simultaneously, you will leverage AI to boost productivity and continuously seek opportunities to enhance engineering efficiency through agentic AI-based solutions.\nTo be successful in the role, the ideal candidate will require strong interpersonal skills, influencing without authority, drive for results, and collaboration in addition to a proven track record in technical program management and operational excellence.\nResponsibilities\nThe Technical Program Manager Role encompasses a broad scope including:\nDrive execution across build, package generation, validation, certification, and customer delivery workflows for GHES releases.\n\nEstablish and drive standards for release reliability, observability, compliance, and operational excellence across build, release, and certification workflows.\n\nSet investment priorities for the GHES Release team, balancing immediate delivery needs with long-term improvements in reliability, efficiency, and engineering velocity.\n\nEnsure strong operational ownership of release infrastructure, including clear accountability, effective incident response, and continuous improvement following critical issues.\n\nDrive and deliver security and compliance requirements.\n\nNegotiate requirements with the central teams (SMEs).\n\nUnderstand best practices and available tooling to improve service resiliency and quality.\n\nInfluence and drive adoption of quality best practices and standards.\n\nDrive onboarding to central infra services and, tooling.\n\nTrack various metrics across broad set of services.\n\nDrive tooling and infra feature design and implementation.\n\nIdentify new opportunities and work with the central teams to supplement existing quality standards.\n\nDeliver technical and high-level presentations in various forums.\n\nDrive multiple projects at any given time.\n\nQualifications\nRequired Qualifications:\n5+ years of experience as a Technical Program Manager or in a technical role with systems experience.\n\n3+ years of experience working in the Cloud domain.\n\n3+ year of experience in management of complex cross-group, cross-business, cross-disciplinary projects.\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\nStrong technical problem-solving and analytical skills.\n\nGood understanding of cloud services best practices.\n\nGood understanding of cloud architecture, telemetry, and monitoring systems.\n\nExperience with high-availability systems and services resiliency.\n\nExcellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.\n\nProven ability to influence without authority and drive results across teams.\n\nNegotiation skills to drive repair items/investments with engineering managers. Knows trade-offs.\n\n4-years degree in Computer Science/Computer Engineering/EE or equivalent experience.\n\nAbility to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role.
