Each member is encouraged to champion new ideas, striving for simplicity and unified expression at every level of the design process.\nThe Role:\nThe AIX Creative Studio are seeking a multidisciplinary Principal Visual Designer with a passion for creating and directing brand content across a wide range of mediums. You thrive in both ideation and production, bringing concepts to life through product, web, prototyping, and emerging formats, and you bring equal energy to hands-on creation and to shaping the creative direction that guides it. You maintain a sharp eye for craft and design detail, drawing inspiration from across creative culture and contributing a distinct point of view that strengthens and diversifies the team’s work. You communicate your ideas with clarity and confidence, using strong presentation skills to articulate creative thinking and guide stakeholders. This is a hands-on role for a designer who is energized by making, exploring, and elevating brand expression through thoughtful, high-quality visual design.\nResponsibilities\nDevelop strong visual concepts that elevate brand expression across mediums\nPresent work clearly and confidently to stakeholders at all levels\nCollaborate closely with partners across Marketing, Product, Communications, and the broader AIX Organization\nWork planfully with Producers to scope, schedule, and deliver creative projects\nEvolve, uphold, and extend the brand identity and design system\nLead creative projects end-to-end, from concept development through production and implementation\nChampion the intersection of product and brand design, ensuring cohesion across experiences\nTranslate strategic goals into compelling visual storytelling and narrative-driven assets\nWork with agility, adopting AI tools and emerging technologies to enhance creative output\nMaintain a high bar for craft, detail, and execution across all deliverables\nQualifications\nRequired Qualifications:\nMaster's Degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, Human Computer Interaction, User Experience, Interaction Design, or related field AND 4+ years experience working in product or service designOR Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, Human Computer Interaction, User Experience, Interaction Design, or related field AND 5+ years experience working in product or service design\nOR equivalent experience (e.g., demonstrated experience working in product or service design or using design thinking to solve problems). \n\nPreferred Qualifications\nA portfolio or work samples highlighting at least 5 years of experience delivering end-to-end creative solutions\nAbility to manage multiple projects and priorities, adapting quickly in a fast-moving, innovative environment\nAdvanced skills in graphic design/illustration, including typography, layout, and visual systems\nProficiency in motion design tools (e.g., After Effects, Premiere, or equivalent)\nExperience producing assets for both digital and physical applications (web, product UI, print, merch, environmental)\nAbility to build and extend brand identity systems with consistency and precision\nStrong visual storytelling skills, including narrative sequencing and framing\nExperience working with AI-assisted creative tools for concepting, iteration, and production\nStrong communication skills for presenting design rationale and collaborating across disciplines\nProduct Design IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $119,800 - $234,700 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $160,200 - $261,000 per year.\nCertain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
