Our engineers are empowered to experiment, learn, and drive measurable impact across Microsoft’s global commercial ecosystem.\nResponsibilities\nUnderstand end-to-end business processes, workflows, and data flows across the Microsoft sales ecosystem, and identify opportunities to simplify, automate, and agentify those experiences.\nRapidly prototype and deliver POCs and iterate on solutions using an experimentation-driven engineering approach.\nDesign, build, and ship scalable, production-quality features and intelligent services using modern engineering practices.\nCollaborate across teams to integrate systems, data, and signals into cohesive AI-powered workflows.\nDebug, troubleshoot, and improve system reliability and performance using telemetry and diagnostics.\nParticipate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and contribute to engineering best practices. \nDrive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to optimize performance, reliability, and developer productivity. \nBuild secure, compliant, and responsible AI solutions ready for production scale.\nContribute to a culture of continuous learning, experimentation, and engineering excellence.\nQualifications\nBasic Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related technical field. \n6+ years of professional software engineering experience with hands-on coding in languages such as C#, Java, Python, or React.\nProficiency in AI-native development - working within Agent Harnesses (GitHub Copilot CLI, Coding Agents), authoring Markdown specs/ADRs and YAML configs as Agent-consumable inputs, orchestrating multi-step Agentic workflows across the SDLC, and reviewing Agent-generated code and PRs with production-grade rigor.\nStrong fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, object-oriented design, and scalable systems.\nExperience building, testing, debugging, and maintaining production-quality software, following established engineering practices as well as leveraging large language models (LLMs).\nSolid problem-solving and technical judgment skills, with the ability to design scoped solutions, debug complex issues, and improve service performance.\nExcellent communication and collaboration abilities.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience with AI/ML frameworks, LLMs, and Copilot technologies. \nProficiency in multiple programming languages and development frameworks. \nFamiliarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code.\nFamiliarity with version control systems (e.g., Git). \nUse of AI and familiarity with Claude, GitHub Copilot for code generation.\nKnowledge of security, compliance, and Responsible AI principles in software development. \nPrior experience working in agile, cross-functional teams. \nDemonstrated ability to drive innovation and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.\n.\nThis position will be open for a minimum of 5 days, with applications accepted on an ongoing basis until the position is filled.\nMicrosoft is an equal opportunity employer.
