Each day we build on our values of respect, integrity, and accountability to create a culture of inclusion where everyone can thrive at work and beyond.\nResponsibilities\nAnalyze telemetry and trace data, with support from experienced engineers, to understand software and hardware behavior on individual devices and at scale.\nInvestigate system issues using debugging and performance-analysis tools.\nIdentify optimization opportunities and contribute to the design and implementation of improvements.\nDevelop, test, and maintain code that improves experiences across operating-system and application layers.\nDeliver reliable, high-quality solutions by following sound engineering practices and incorporating feedback from code and design reviews.\nUse data to evaluate solutions, validate improvements, and support engineering decisions.\nCollaborate with team members and partner teams to deliver improvements across the Windows ecosystem.\nQualifications\nRequired/Minimum Qualifications:\nBachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or related technical discipline with proven experience coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.OR equivalent experience.\n\nOther Requirements: Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:\nMicrosoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter. \nPreferred Qualifications:\nExperience gained through coursework, internships, or professional work in software development, debugging, or systems analysis.\nFamiliarity with debugging techniques and an interest in system performance and optimization.\nUnderstanding of software engineering fundamentals, including testing, code quality, and maintainability.\nSolid programming, analytical, and problem-solving skills.\nAbility to learn new technologies, collaborate effectively, and use data to support decisions.\nCoursework, internship, or project experience with operating systems or system-level development.\nFamiliarity with Windows internals, performance analysis, or power optimization.\nInterest in learning how hardware, firmware, operating systems, and applications interact.\nExposure to telemetry, data analysis, statistics, or cloud data platforms.\nExperience collaborating on team projects and communicating technical ideas clearly.\n#W+DJOBS\nThis position will be open for a minimum of 5 days, with applications accepted on an ongoing basis until the position is filled.\nMicrosoft is an equal opportunity employer.
