You will be part of a dynamic engineering organization focused on delivering seamless, high-performance solutions that empower hybrid work across platforms and devices. Our culture is customer obsession - we will do what is necessary to help customers be successful, move fast, and have fun building meaningful products and services!\nYou will be responsible for:\nDesigning and implementing Windows Cloud Experience features that enhance Windows 365 and Azure Virtual Desktop, with a focus on scalability, reliability, and performance. \nDriving innovation across the stack, including areas such as front-end UX and back-end services, Graph API, authentication, telemetry, and data analytics. \nBuilding production-ready Agentic AI applications using LLMs, RAG, tool calling, MCP, and AI evaluation. \nCollaborating with cross-functional teams across engineering, product, and design to deliver end-to-end scenarios that meet customer needs. \nExecuting the full software development lifecycle from architecture and implementation to deployment and live service operations-with accountability for service quality and resilience. \nEngaging with internal stakeholders and customers to gather feedback, address technical challenges, and continuously improve Windows 365 and Azure Virtual Desktop product experience. \nParticipating in engineering excellence initiatives, including code reviews, architecture discussions, and process improvements. \nUpholding high standards of craftsmanship, ensuring that solutions are robust, maintainable, and aligned with security and compliance principles such as Zero Trust. \nSolving complex technical problems and contributing to a culture of curiosity, agility, and continuous learning. \nQualifications\nRequired/Minimum Qualifications:\nBachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.OR equivalent experience.\n\nAdditional or preferred qualifications\nOther Requirements: Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:\nMicrosoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter. \nPreferred Qualifications:\nBachelor's degree in computer science or related technical field. \n2+ years of software engineering experience in designing, developing, testing and maintaining production-quality software. \nHands-on experience with modern development languages such as C#, Java, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, or equivalent. \nExcellent technical design and troubleshooting skills in both front-end and back-end. \nFluent English communication skills. \nPractical experience with cloud platforms or distributed systems. \nExperience with generative AI development, including prompt engineering, RAG, agent frameworks, and responsible AI practices. \nFamiliarity with CI/CD pipelines, and agile software development methodologies. \nFamiliarity with Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) solutions is a plus. \nSolid understanding of security principles and experience implementing with them. \nA growth mindset with a commitment to continuous learning, mentoring, and contributing to engineering excellence. \nExperience of collaborating across teams to deliver integrated, high-impact solutions. \nThis position will be open for a minimum of 5 days, with applications accepted on an ongoing basis until the position is filled.\nMicrosoft is an equal opportunity employer.
