Each day we build on our values of respect, integrity, and accountability to create a culture of inclusion where everyone can thrive at work and beyond.\nResponsibilities\nApply engineering principles to solve complex problems through sound and creative engineering. \nWork with appropriate stakeholders to determine user requirements for a feature.\nQuickly learn new engineering methods and incorporate them into work processes. \nSeek feedback and apply internal or industry best practices to improve technical solutions. \nDemonstrate skill in time management and completing software projects in a cooperative team environment.\nReview current developments and proactively seek new knowledge that will improve the availability, reliability, efficiency, observability, and performance of products while also driving consistency in monitoring and operations at scale. \nQualifications\nRequired Qualifications\nYou must be legally authorised to work in the UK to be eligible for this role.\nCurrently pursuing Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field\nMust have at least 1 semester/term remaining following the completion of the internship\nProgramming experience in an object-oriented language \nPreferred Qualifications\nAbility to demonstrate an understanding of computer science fundamentals, including data structures and algorithms\nFamiliarity with Kubernetes, Operating Systems, Linux, Virtualization and IP Networking\nAbility to use development environments and tooling such as VSCode, Git, DevOps, and AI Agents / Copilot\nThis position will be open for a minimum of 5 days, with applications accepted on an ongoing basis until the position is filled.\nMicrosoft is an equal opportunity employer.
