Each day we build on our values of respect, integrity, and accountability to create a culture of inclusion where everyone can thrive at work and beyond.\nResponsibilities\nDebug software issues on Surface products. \nDesign and implement solutions to enhance product quality and customer satisfaction. \nDrive development activities, including integration and configuration management. \nSet up labs and automation frameworks. \nAssist in building and maintaining telemetry pipelines. \nContribute to data modelling and reporting. \nMaintain and improve telemetry dashboards. \nApply an understanding of real-time, embedded firmware along with solid troubleshooting and debugging skills to isolate and fix problems quickly. \nQualifications\nRequired/Minimum Qualifications:\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field OR equivalent experience.\n10+ years of experience as a Software Development Engineer, or Test or Validation Engineer, or equivalent experience. \n10+ years of experience developing and/or testing products across multiple release cycles in related fields. \n10+ years of experience programming or validating using applications or tools developed in C, C++, C#, PowerShell, Python, Visual Basic, JavaScript, or similar languages. \nProfessional experience in the development and/or validation of personal computing devices, tablets, mobile phones, or other mobile computer devices or accessories, gaming systems, or servers. \nExperience developing and executing software testing methodologies, strategies, procedures, tools, and metrics.\nExperience developing, debugging, and/or validating one or more of the following on the Windows operating system: kernel-mode device drivers, firmware, or UEFI. \nExperience sustaining or servicing products after launch. \nExperience leading or managing external partner or services companies. \nExperience debugging kernel-mode drivers or firmware. \nExperience gathering and analyzing telemetry data to improve software reliability or performance.\n#W+DJOBS\n#W+D\nOther Requirements: Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role.
