To achieve this goal, the Silicon Manufacturing and Package Engineering team is instrumental in defining and delivering operational measures of success for hardware manufacturing, improving the planning process, quality, delivery, scale and sustainability related to Microsoft cloud hardware. We are looking for a System Product Test Engineer with a dedicated passion for customer focused solutions, insight and industry knowledge to envision and implement future technical solutions that will manage and optimize the Cloud infrastructure.\nWe are looking for a System Product Test Engineer to join the team.\nResponsibilities\nThe candidate for this position will be expected and able to complete the following responsibilities:\nSupport developing system level test (SLT) and platform, strategy, requirements, tools, methodologies across hardware and software.\nCollaborating with team members and partner teams to develop and integrate hardware, firmware, content, and automation solution for SLT platform.\nProduct characterization and correlation for power/performance from system to ATE.\nGenerate and leverage correlation, characterization, and performance data to optimize outgoing quality and power/performance.\nDefine, guide, and contribute to the development of the software automation infrastructure for SLT and system to tester correlation activities.\nManagement of multiple development activities across a variety of product groups.\nSystem level failure triage and debug across silicon, hardware, software.\nQualifications\nRequired Qualifications:\nMaster's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field AND 1+ year(s) technical engineering experience OR Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience OR equivalent experience.\nOther Requirements:\nAbility to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.\nThis role will require access to information that is controlled for export under export control regulations, potentially under the U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations or Export Administration Regulations, the EU Dual Use Regulation, and/or other export control regulations. Lawful permanent residents, refugees, and asylees may verify status using other documents, where applicable.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nDoctorate in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field OR Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field AND 3+ years technical engineering experience OR Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field AND 5+ years technical engineering experience OR equivalent experience.\n3+ years of experience in Developing Integrated Circuits (pre-silicon, first silicon bring-up, new product introduction).\n3+ years of experience in product and test engineering, specializing in System Level Test\nUnderstanding of circuits and system hardware.\nExperience with system level hardware for products in any of the following categories: CPUs, GPUs, high performance compute.\nKnowledge of system level test architecture, infrastructure (i.e., hardware and software) requirements, test case development flows, test case generation and selection.\nProficient communication, collaboration and teamwork skills and ability to lead, grow, and contribute to diverse and inclusive teams.\nUnderstanding of product manufacturing and test processes.\nUnderstanding system hardware, software and firmware.\nUnderstanding of board level schematics.\nProficient at writing software and scripts with industry standard languages such as C#, Python, C/C++.\nExperience with:End-to-end silicon engineering taking products from pre-silicon readiness to first silicon bring up and production.\nSystem level test cases (SLT) definition/generation/selection/execution and data analysis\nSystem characterization test case definition/generation/selection/execution and data analysis\nThermal control and feedback\nThermal management of higher power devices\nDebug tools such as oscilloscope, DMM, SMU, VNA\nPerformance (i.e., power management features, mode optimization, voltage margining/checking) applications on SLT\nDatacenters, CPUs, AI, machine learning, digital neural networks would be an asset.\nData collection/analysis and debugging system failures.\n\n#SCHIE #CSME\nSilicon Engineering IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $102,100 - $202,200 per year.
