In addition to a full suite of supplemental insurance options to choose from. \nPaid time off starting after 90 days of employment.\nProfessional development opportunities. \nThe Heavy Equipment Operator is responsible for safely operating various types of heavy machinery to move, sort, and load recyclable materials. This role supports daily operations, ensures efficient material flow, and maintains equipment in a fast-paced industrial environment. This role is critical to ensure the safe movement, sorting and processing of recyclable materials.\nKey Responsibilities\nSafely operate equipment including front-end loaders, mini loaders, excavators, screening and conveyor equipment.\nPerform daily equipment inspections and minor maintenance.\nAssist with general labor tasks as needed. \nMonitor and adjust workflow to meet production demands.\nCommunicate effectively with team members and supervisor.\nEnsure compliance with all standard operational procedures, safety procedures and any additional policies and procedures from management. \nRequirements\nHold all valid licensing and certification requirements.\n3-5 years’ experience as a heavy equipment operator, preferably in metal recycling\nStrong knowledge of recycling processes, equipment and industry standards.\nFamiliarity with safety regulations, (OSHA, EPA, etc)\nWorking Conditions\nWork is performed in an industrial environment with exposure to noise, dust, and varying temperatures.\nRequires standing, lifting of 50lbs, and operating machinery for extended periods. \nUse of personal protective equipment (PPE) is mandatory.\nPLEASE NOTE: The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this job.
