The Role
Search and discovery are changing faster than they ever have. AI is reshaping how buyers find and evaluate vendors, and the old organic playbook doesn't hold up anymore. Staying ahead of that shift is exactly the problem this role exists to solve.
You'll take full, end-to-end ownership of how Middesk grows organically: every inbound lead, every MQL, every visitor who finds us on their own. You'll set the strategy across SEO, AEO, brand, social, and content, and decide where the biggest organic wins are hiding as the landscape keeps shifting under everyone's feet.
This isn't a channel-specialist seat, you're the Growth Lead for everything organic; MQLs, inbound leads, and web traffic all roll up to you. You'll work alongside our existing team to establish the strategy and work to bring it to life.
We're looking for a strategic thinker who can see the whole board and drive efforts broadly, with the ownership to build and drive that strategy themselves. We care more about your ability to drive impact than a traditional pathway.
Hybrid
We follow a hybrid work model, and for this role there is an expectation of 2- 3 days per week in our NYC or SF office. Candidates should be based within a commutable distance, as we believe in the value of in person collaboration and building strong team connections while also supporting flexibility where possible.
What You'll Do
Own Middesk's organic growth number: MQLs, inbound leads, and web traffic
Set SEO/AEO strategy and partner with existing content talent on execution
Build a holistic organic growth plan spanning brand, social, and content, not just search
Define our strategy for brand reach industry events
Partner with product marketing on content strategy and the performance of existing assets
Establish reporting that connects organic activity to real pipeline outcomes, and use it to decide where to double down, shift, or kill a direction
Bring a point of view on team and resourcing needs as this function grows
What We're Looking For
A strategic thinker who can see the whole organic landscape, from search to brand to content, and drive efforts broadly rather than optimizing one channel in isolation
A track record of owning a number end to end in a high-growth environment, whether that's sales, pipeline, marketing, or account management
A strong executor as well as a strategist. You'll build the plan and also do real work yourself
Comfortable speaking to and building for a technical, AI native audience
A background like management consulting, or an early operating role at a high growth startup, is common but not required
Does not need to come from a narrow SEO/AEO specialist background. That skill set lives with our execution team; this role is about seeing and owning the whole picture
Bonus Points
Experience owning organic or inbound growth broadly (SEO, brand, content, social) rather than a single channel
Experience with AI enabled content or growth workflows
Experience building brand or event strategy at a B2B SaaS or fintech company
