The midd.data coordinator will help advance this mission by providing a high level of support to the director and steering committee, while cultivating compliance with college-wide administrative procedures.\nThis is considered a part-time, hourly, non-benefits eligible position. The College also invites applications from individuals who demonstrate an ongoing commitment to advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplace.\nCore Responsibilities:\nParticipate in the implementation of midd.data’s goals and objectives.\nSupport and advise the midd.data director with operational, budgetary, organizational, projectmanagement, and technical expertise including College processes, policies & guidelines.\nSchedule meetings, including regular executive committee and steering committee meetings.\nAdministrate processes central to midd.data’s academic mission including but not limited to course offerings including the Introduction to Data summer bridge course and Data Science Across Disciplines Winter term course.\nCollaborate in the planning and implementation of guest speakers and events.\nCollaborate in communications and outreach, including helping to update and managemidd.data’s web page, social media accounts, and newsletter.\nEnsure program stability and institutional knowledge through documentation and personal experience, especially during director transitions (every 3-6 years).\nRequirements\nPosition Prerequisites:\n Works well independently, prioritizes essential tasks, makes decisions, and meets deadlines.\n Has excellent communication, writing and editing skills with attention paid to fine detail as well as the ability to anticipate, recognize and correct errors.\n Demonstrates excellent interpersonal skills and a willingness to work with a wide variety of people including students, faculty, and staff.\n Has excellent technological skills and computer literacy and is willing to learn multiple computer programs simultaneously.
