Address their queries or concerns related to invoices, payments, and\naccount balances.\nRespond to queries:\nRespond promptly and professionally to student queries received through various\nchannels, including email, telephone calls, or in-person interactions. Provide\naccurate information and assistance to resolve their concerns or direct them to\nthe appropriate department if needed.\nPrepare student\ninvoices, receipts, debit notes, credit notes: Generate and prepare student\ninvoices based on the applicable fees and charges. Additionally, issue receipts\nfor payments received and process any adjustments or changes in fees, such as\ninterruptions, withdrawals, or changes in the mode of study. In cases of\nrefunds or credit adjustments, prepare debit notes or credit notes accordingly.\nFollow-up on\ndebtors: Monitor and track overdue payments from students. Initiate appropriate\nactions to follow up on outstanding debts, which may include sending reminders,\nmaking phone calls, or arranging meetings with students to negotiate payment\nplans. Maintain proper documentation of all communication and actions taken. \nOther tasks:\nInvolved in other finance-related tasks as delegated by the Accountant to\nsupport the overall financial operations of the university.\n\nPERSON SPECIFICATION\n\nEducation/Qualifications:\n\nDegree\nor equivalent in Finance and/or Accounting\n\nExperience:\n\nProven experience of 2 + years in a Finance/\nAccounting department\n\nKnowledge/Skills\n\nProficient in\nfinancial software and tools, with good Excel skills\nExcellent\ncommunication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate\neffectively with internal and external stakeholders\nDetail-oriented,\norganised and able to prioritise work effectively \nHigh ethical\nstandards and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality and integrity\nTeam player,\ndependable and willing to adapt to change.\nFluency in English,\nboth written and spoken, Knowledge of additional languages is a plus.\n\nThe above list\nis not exclusive or exhaustive and working as part of the Finance team. The\npostholder will be expected to work closely with all members of the team,\nprovide cover and assistance when necessary, and participate within the team as\nrequested in such areas as communication and general office organisation.
