The General Manager establishes and executes strategies to achieve business objectives, develops and leads high performing teams, actively participates in the operation while leading by example, and serves as a key liaison within the local community.\nWhat You’ll Lead:\nOversees all operations of Hotel Versailles, Silas Creative Kitchen, 1819 Room, Stillwater Valley Golf Course, Riverwatch, Midmark Café, and Sycamore Bridge Farm.\n\nReinforces and models Hotel Versailles’s Art+Science experience framework across operations.\n\nSupports a locally driven Food + Beverage program and collaborates with culinary leaders and events teams to ensure high quality, regional offerings.\n\nEmpowers teammates to deliver authentic, guest-centric service, and utilizes guest feedback to enhance experiences.\n\nOversees financial performance across all entities, interprets P&L reports, develops annual budget with business and marketing plans, forecast revenue and expenses, and adjusts operations to optimize profitability and long-term growth.\n\nParticipates in marketing and sales strategy, revenue diversification efforts, to maximize occupancy, Food and Beverage performance, and event bookings, and evaluates performance of such efforts.\n\nPartners with HR and is responsible for overseeing talent acquisition, teammate development, performance management, and succession planning for all hotel, restaurant and golf departments, creating a high-performance culture.\n\nDrives a culture of engagement, accountability, and service excellence through leadership visibility, teammate coaching, and operational discipline.\n\nCollaborates with Midmark leadership for direction, support, and approval on strategic and operational matters to achieve brand positioning, operational excellence and guest satisfaction.\n\nBuilds strong community relationships through proactive engagement with local officials, businesses, and customers, and represents the hotel at events, local boards, and service initiatives.\n\nWhat We’re Looking For:\nBachelor’s degree in hospitality, business, resort management, culinary arts, tourism, event management, or related field.\n7+ years of management experience in a full-service or boutique hotel, resort, food and beverage management, or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred. \nPreferred Qualifications:\nComprehensive knowledge of hotel operations, financials, and guest service standards. \nStrong financial literacy, including P&L interpretation and analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and revenue strategy. \nProficiency in hospitality technology systems, including Property Management Systems (PMS), Point of Sale (POS), Central Reservation Systems (CRS), Customer Relationship Management (CRM), and audio/visual systems. \nExcellent communication, interpersonal and public presentation skills. \nSkilled in team leadership, coaching, and team development across diverse teams. \nStrong decision-making, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities with a passion for innovation and continuous improvement. \nDemonstrated adaptability, resilience, and composure under pressure. \nProficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. \nPassion for guest service, operational excellence, and local engagement. \nWhy Hotel Versailles?\nThis is an opportunity to lead a hospitality organization with influence across the entire guest experience-from hotel and dining operations to events, recreation, community engagement, and locally inspired experiences.\n\nNo agency calls please.\nWork Authorization:\nMidmark will only employ those who are legally authorized to work in the United States.
