Works on complex projects, often taking the lead on specific aspects, and collaborates with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions and ensure the successful execution of projects.\nESSENTIAL/PRIMARY DUTIES:\nDrives strategic workforce optimization, space planning, workflow design and equipment layout for peak operational efficiency.\nApplies manufacturing knowledge to effectively estimate the cost of process alternatives and documents and implements the most effective solution. Participates in the development of new processes.\nServes as an active contributor within the team and escalates issues to management when needed.\nCollaborates and drives specifications of equipment, material, and parts to enhance and solve problems.\nCollaborates in sourcing changes from in-house to supplier and vice versa to meet demand and capability changes.\nEvaluates products from a manufacturing perspective based on specifications and quality standards.\nFollows best practices, actively engages in discussions in meetings and brainstorming sessions related to their assigned tasks. Makes decisions within assigned tasks under guidance and escalates appropriately.\nIdentifies cost, quality and delivery improvement opportunities and implements effective and sustainable solutions.\nLeads documentation and maintenance of work instructions.\nCollaborates with internal and external resources to develop and design component processes and tooling to ensure efficient production methods.\nFollows industry standards and regulations for quality, safety, and performance.\nLearns established and new technical tools and methods.\nUtilizes a structured approach to problem-solving to improve and innovate production processes.\nIdentifies part or assembly risks and applies problem solving techniques to reduce the risk condition.\nAuthors and executes technical documentation such as verification and validation protocols, CAPA’s and quality alerts.\nSECONDARY DUTIES:\nContributes ideas for process changes and improvements.\nInfluences change within their discipline.\nEDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:\nBachelor's degree in engineering or related field and 2+ years of relevant experience, or similar combination of both.\nCOMPETENCY and/or SKILL:\nStrong analytical and communication skills (written & verbal)\nExperience with tooling, fixture, and process design concepts\nFundamental application of engineering tools and methods\nAbility to apply problem-solving skills to find root causes and propose solutions, and lead investigations\nExperience with Microsoft Office, design, and other business software packages\nComprehension of basic product design methods\nStrong mathematical and technical abilities\nAbility to multitask and problem solve\nAbility to lead by influence throughout the organization\nProficient in the subject matter or the functional areas\nAbility to lead and manage projects and/or project teams\nKnowledge of FDA and ISO regulations\nAbility to generate detailed and high-quality technical documentation\nSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:\nProvides leadership, coaching, and/or mentoring to co-op’s, technicians, and level I
