This is a multi-project based role supporting specific teams while incorporating sourcing standards set by Global Sourcing and overall company-wide business objectives.\nESSENTIAL/PRIMARY DUTIES:\nInfluences PE projects using concurrent engineering principles to leverage the supply base’s resources and proposing alternatives to product architecture and processes in order to achieve the best quality, lead times and cost.\nIdentifies, evaluates, and negotiates with suppliers that offer a competitive advantage to the organization. Leads all quoting, new product development contractual negotiations, and award of business for sourcing that meets company requirements for PE projects while executing commodity sourcing strategies.\nManages the organization's RFP process and evaluates potential suppliers to ensure that cost, quality, inventory levels, and supply chain operations meet organizational needs.\nDrives cost reduction/improvement/avoidance/control throughout PE projects to facilitate the company’s competitive position, while ensuring that all purchasing activities comply with applicable regulations and guidelines.\nInitiates and leads design for manufacturability (DFM) reviews in partnership with Quality and Product Engineering.\nResponsible for supplier risk assessment and mitigation through start of project to transition to production.\nCoordinates successful completion of supplier evaluation, selection, and approval process, while assuring that suppliers adhere to process, scope and timing of projects.\nManages product launch ramp-up and transfer to production aligned with commodity strategies and project timelines through collection of data, analyzing forecasted demand, and predicting inventory needs. Maintains contact with vendors and submits purchase orders or requisitions in order to ensure a continuous supply of goods as products commercialize\nMaintains project purchased standard cost data and measurable relating to the same.\nLeads engagement and communication with Commodity Sourcing Leads, Operation Buyers, Design Engineers, and Supplier Quality Engineer throughout the project for seamless transfer of PE project sourcing information.\nSECONDARY DUTIES:\nHolds and continuously seeks out a high level of product, process, and commodity market knowledge.\nEDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:\nBachelor's degree (B.
