Tackles technical challenges and contributes to troubleshooting effort.\nPlans, implements, and optimizes complex solutions, leads design and development of medium-sized projects.\nApplies domain expertise to the application and advancement of engineering methods and tools.\nLeads the application of six sigma techniques and drives continuous process improvement.\nLeads or participates in process redesign, defines KPIs, leads change management.\nActs as a team contributor with some technical leadership, provides guidance, anticipates, and prevents issues.\nCollaborates with tooling engineers and designers to create effective tooling and molds.\nSECONDARY DUTIES:\nSupervises and mentors junior engineers or technicians on projects.\nResearches the latest developments and trends in mechanical engineering.\nEDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:\nBachelor's degree in engineering or related field and 5+ years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of both. Black Belt certification is preferred.\nCOMPETENCY and/or SKILL:\nProficient in the design of complex systems and identifying new technological opportunities\nAbility to generate detailed and high-quality technical documentation\nAbility to lead investigations into the root causes of defects and issues\nAbility to analyze existing processes and leading process improvement efforts\nAbility to conduct design reviews to ensure adherence to standards and best practices\nAbility to analyze and assess complex technical risks associated with projects\nAbility to setup, run and analyze static FEA for components and assemblies\nAbility to design and measure the motion of a system, using kinematic quantities such as position, velocity, and acceleration\nComprehensive knowledge of risk management and can apply at a system level\nSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:\nProvides leadership, coaching, and/or mentoring to level I and level II engineers.\nWork Authorization:\nMidmark Corporation will only employ those who are legally authorized to work in the United States.
