So, if you’re looking to do big work in a small-team environment, Midrex is just the place for you.\nQualifications\nThis is a temporary role for 6 months with the strong potential to convert to a fulltime direct hire at that point.\nThe Accounts Payable Specialist will apply principles of accounting to process and vendor invoices and payments for US-based Midrex companies.\nDuties/Responsibilities:\nProcess 3-way match for PO invoices in ERP system (MTI)\nProcess non-PO vendor invoices in ERP system (Multiple Companies)\nPerform weekly check runs and ACH/wire transfers (Multiple Companies)\nAssist with 1099 maintenance and Year-End processing\nMaintain large number of vendor accounts while staying in compliance with company policies and procedures\nReconcile Vendor Statements\nAssist in all Accounts Payable audit requests\nSkills/Abilities:\nRequired:\nIntermediate experience with Microsoft suite: Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams\nStrong analytical and accounting skills\nBasic Knowledge of Accounting Principals\nAbility to effectively communicate with domestic/international vendors\nWork independently and prioritize tasks\nPreferred:\nSAP BusinessByDesign experience\nKnowledge of Sales and Use tax Regulations\nEducation and Experience:\nBachelor’s degree in a business-related field from an accredited university\nMinimum of five years hands-on experience in overall Accounts Payable Processing\nTravel REQUIREMENTS:\nUp to 5% Domestic travel as needed for seminars and/or training\nPhysical Requirements:\nProlonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.\nMust be able to lift to 15 pounds at times\nOther duties:\nPlease note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
