This role focuses on guiding engineering teams through complex technical challenges, ensuring solutions are aligned with business objectives, and driving high-quality outcomes through strong engineering practices.\nThe Lead Technical Specialist collaborates closely with product, business, and engineering stakeholders to translate requirements into robust technical designs, contribute to accurate effort estimations, and ensure technical excellence throughout the development lifecycle. The role also involves proactively identifying technical risks, improving system performance and scalability, and upholding quality standards through best practices and technical governance.\nA strong hands-on development background is essential to understand solution requirements, mentor engineers, perform code reviews, and lead the implementation of innovative, scalable solutions that meet both business and client needs.\nWhat You’ll Do\n\n Design, develop, and review software solutions using established coding standards, documentation practices, and configuration management techniques\n Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams across the full software development lifecycle\n Work within an agile delivery model to design, test, and implement effective development methodologies\n Collaborate with Product Owners and team members to estimate development effort for user stories and features\n Deliver ongoing maintenance, support, and enhancements for existing systems and platforms, with a focus on improving quality and performance\n Partner closely with cross-functional teams, including business, product, and engineering colleagues, to deliver robust and elegant solutions\n Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in design, development processes, tooling, and practices\n Support Service Delivery and Production Support teams by troubleshooting and resolving complex production issues\n Lead by example to create a psychologically safe team environment where ideas, questions, and challenges are openly shared\n Establish and enforce best practices such as code reviews, technical standards, and knowledge sharing\n\nUnleash your potential\n\nTo be successful in this role, your background and experience will include:\nB.E./B.Tech/MCA with 8+ years of relevant software development experience\n\nExperience in the financial services, wealth management, or insurance domain is preferred.\n\nStrong hands-on experience in Java and modern backend frameworks (e.g., Spring Boot, Micronaut)\n\nExperience with ORM technologies such as JPA/Hibernate\n\nExposure to frontend technologies such as React or Angular, JavaScript, and TypeScript\n\nExperience with databases (relational and/or NoSQL such as MongoDB)\n\nFamiliarity with CI/CD pipelines, version control (Git), and modern development practices\n\nUnderstanding of containerization and cloud-native environments (Docker, Kubernetes - exposure preferred)\n\nExperience with test-driven development and automated testing frameworks\n\nStrong communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly\n\nProven ability to mentor engineers and build high-performing, self-reliant teams\n\nDemonstrated track record of delivering high-quality software within agreed timelines.\n\nWorking at Bravura\n\nOur people are the heart of our business.
