The Meals on Wheels Driver will also maintain all MIFA policies and procedures and adhere to the vehicle operations manual.\nRequirements\nTimely ensure accuracy in meal counts and deliver meals to seniors, log meal deliveries, following safety protocols during loading, and report issues in the Mobile Meals app.\nCheck hot and cold meals count for accuracy against the assigned route\nUsing proper lifting techniques (bending knees, using two hands, feet firmly planted) \nLoad supplies and food containers into the van in a timely manner\nEnsure all temperature-controlled food devices are clean and working properly\nLog in to the Mobile Meals Application for assigned route details\nMaintain time schedule so meals arrive in a timely manner\nRun route within rated time (not to exceed 5 hours and 30 minutes daily unless authorized in advance)\nReturn empty temperature-controlled devices and used utensils daily when returning from your route or the assigned route in the mobile app. \nConfirm all delivered/non-delivered meals. \nDocument any changes in the Mobile App or challenges and sign the signature page, submit, and log out.\nCommunicate effectively with the Supervisor on route changes needed, problems, etc.\nWilling to drive/deliver at congregate or HDM sites as needed\nCross-train on various routes and document monthly wellness checks in the Mobile App to document the living needs of clients\nMaintain effective communication with the supervisor about route changes and conduct wellness checks for clients.\nComplete daily Pre-Trip and Post- Trip inspection to ensure vehicle safety using the WhipAround app. \nComplete the Odometer reading using the WhipAround app. \nMaintain appropriate fuel levels and secure assigned gas cards.\nMaintain daily cleanliness of vehicles, picking up any trash or debris inside\nFollow all driving rules and regulations while driving on the road, and around the facility\nReport any traffic violations or incidents immediately\nMust adhere to the federal, local, state, and agency regulations while operating a MIFA vehicle. \nReport to Supervisor immediately any maintenance needs\nDisplay professional customer service ability amongst co-workers, clients, and other drivers on the roadway\nEnsure accurate record-keeping and compliance by attending required meetings, maintaining time and route logs, tracking donations, verifying meal deliveries, and ensuring accuracy in meal counts and adherence to funding source requirements.\nAttend Monthly Meetings (safety, training, company updates, new procedures)\nSign in and out daily utilizing Paylocity to maintain accurate timesheet records with accurate times.\nComplete Route Sheets, using the Mobile App to indicate meals delivered or not delivered, time of delivery, or attempted delivery.\nCall office immediately if client does not answer when trying to deliver a meal, or office to get a second verification\nSecure donations and log in by office personnel to verify donation amounts\nCongregate- ensure all food is accounted for by checking sites, verifying each cooler/Cambros for hot meals, desserts, beverage mix, and bread and verify before signing off on TRIO meal forms. Every congregate site has serving times for clients and must deliver meals before the serving time for each congregate site. (This is directly related to funding source requirements).\nVerify matches with the route sheet, count hot meals in the cooler to make sure they match the number of meals on the route sheet. (This is directly related to funding source requirements). \nSigning in and out daily on the Mobile Meals Application \nOther Responsibilities\nDemonstrates professional conduct and attitude that supports teamwork and organizational goals.\nDrive either congregate or HDM routes as needed.\nRespect and welcome people of diverse ages, races, and cultures with sensitivity to civic and cultural issues.\nEmbraces technology, including using the MOW Mobile App for GPS directions.\nUtilize a map book, schedule, and follow directions.\nCommunicate effectively with staff and clients.\nMaintains accurate records, such as mileage logs, timesheets, and schedules.\nPerforms other duties as assigned to support departmental goals.\nSupervisory Responsibilities\nN/A\nPhysical Demands and Work Environment\nThe in-office, physical demands, and work environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
