The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in designing and developing mechanical systems/subsystems for high-volume products, preferably from the Robotics, Consumer Electronics, or Electronics Manufacturing domain.\nThis role requires strong ownership across the complete product development lifecycle - from concept and feasibility to design validation and manufacturing readiness.\nKey Responsibilities\nLead the mechanical design and development of products/systems/subsystems from concept to production.\nLead, mentor, and manage a small team of mechanical design engineers, ensuring effective task allocation, technical guidance, timely delivery, and overall team development. \nEnsure the design aligns with product architecture, functional requirements, quality, reliability, and cost objectives.\nDrive NPD/NPI activities, including prototype development, validation, pilot builds, and mass production readiness.\nWork closely with cross-functional teams including Electronics, Firmware, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Quality teams.\nConduct concept studies, feasibility analysis, and introduce innovative technologies/processes.\nEnsure designs comply with safety, reliability, and applicable regulatory standards.\nPerform structural design, tolerance analysis, hand calculations, and FEM/FEA analysis.\nCreate and maintain detailed 3D CAD models, manufacturing drawings, EBOMs, and engineering documentation.\nConduct DFMEA and proactively identify product and manufacturing risks.\nDrive DFM/DFA practices to optimize product manufacturability and assembly efficiency.\nSupport vendor development, tooling discussions, and production issue resolution during ramp-up.\nEnsure modular integration consistency and product certification compliance.\nDefine work breakdown structure, timelines, effort estimates, and cost assessments for assigned modules/projects.\nMaintain proper engineering documentation as per company and industry standards.\nStay updated with emerging technologies, materials, and engineering practices.\nRequired Qualifications & Experience\nB.E./B.Tech/M.Tech in Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering.\n5-10 years of experience in mechanical design & development.\nMandatory experience in NPD/NPI for mass-produced products.\nPrior experience in Robotics, Consumer Electronics, Electronics Manufacturing, or Medical Devices preferred.\nStrong expertise in:Structural design & hand calculations\n3D CAD modeling and manufacturing drawings\nFEM/FEA analysis\nDFMEA, DFM/DFA, material selection, and EBOM creation\n\nProficiency in SolidWorks, Creo/Pro-E, Solid Edge, or equivalent CAD tools.\nExposure to manufacturing processes, tooling, and production engineering.\nStrong
